He would’ve supported Hitlery Rotten Clinton ending all investigations of her abuses.

Clapper is openly advocating that the FBI be the investigative arm of the Intelligence Community (IC) and Deep State, not carry out the law enforcements needs of DOJ and the Executive Branch.

His view is anathema to the Constitution as it would set up an independent legal army. It would be a usurpation for the FBI to independently determine what they should do, ad hoc as it should reasonably and dynamically decide what needs to be done to keep America safe. That's Clapper's apparent viewpoint in this interview.

Clapper's stiff-necked, aversive attitude toward the authority of the Executive Branch is more than disturbing. He and Brennan controlled the FBI as if it were their private Waffen SS, an army of lawless, intimidating-anyone, investigative and prosecutorial soldiers.

The IC as manifested by Brennan and Clapper acted in every way as if it owns our country--as if we were their "captured operation"--and its threats and actions against Candidate Trump, President-Elect Trump, and President Trump amount to nothing less than treason against the election process and then the duly elected Chief Executive and Commander-in-Chief.

If the likes of Brennan and Clapper are not brought to account and be made to heel, the US of A will simply have to be viewed as having been a temporary success, but ultimately a failed exercise, as of 2016.

I never said I did, that’s why I said let’s wait and see. If you doubt that there has been a concerted effort within government entities against Trump, then just say so flat out. I’m willing to say I believe there has been.

The idea that Sessions can be doing all this Deep State investigating and there be zero evidence of it is a nonstarter. It’s pure, fact-free wishful thinking. Anybody can claim anything is happening. If the only criteria is a complete and total lack of any and all evidence, the sky’s the limit.

The fact is, Sessions recused himself from his job. He’s a disgrace.

I understand why you’re saying friend, but if you refer to my original comment I point out that Trump is very quick to fire anyone who does not doing his job. My trust in Trump doing that, implies to me at least, that Sessions has being doing something for almost 18 months that the president is comfortable with.

This is what comes of Sessions letting Clapper skate on a perjury charge. Then the statute of limitations ran out.

That’s ok...I’m thinking there are a lot more things, for which the statute of limitations has NOT run out.

Also, I never ‘claimed’ anything. I speculated. This is a discussion forum and I’m delighted we ‘discussed’. Have a great evening.

Trump explained why Sessions still has a job:

Trump expressed his disappointment in the Justice Department during a Fox News interview in which he said Comey is “guilty of crimes” that could be uncovered “if we had a Justice Department that was doing their job.

When asked why he doesn’t push the department to do more, Trump say he’s staying out for now.

“Because of the fact that they have this witch hunt going on with people in the Justice Department that shouldn’t be there, they have a witch hunt against the president of the United States going on, I’ve taken the position, and I don’t have to take this position and maybe I’ll change, that I will not be involved with the Justice Department,” he said. “I will wait until this is over. It’s a total, it’s all lies and it’s a horrible thing that is going on, a horrible thing.”

Trump has repeatedly lashed out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who heads the department, for recusing himself from the Russia investigation. Trump has previously called on the department to target leakers, but no one has been prosecuted for leaks critical of the Trump administration.

“So very disappointed in my Justice Department,” Trump said. “Because of the fact it is going on, and I think you will understand this, I have decided I won’t be involved. I may change my mind at some point because what is going on is a disgrace. It is an absolute disgrace. By the way only collusion is with Democrats and Russians.”

Guantanamo sirens are calling...
(I know it’s a military facility, but it can be re-designated as a federal prison for government traitors.) But putting them in the general population of a federal prison would be a finer justice. How long do you suppose Hillary could survive on a diet of baloney and beans?

Why does this ‘logic,’ only apply to the Deep State? Mueller has been indicting people left and right for perjury. Why does Deep State get a pass, with the excuse that a pie in the sky indictment will (supposedly) happen one day...maybe?

Somebody, maybe Brenner or Clapper, will turn and rat everybody else out. Though Brenner’s a true believer, so probably not him.

Perhaps you didn’t know this, but it’s possible to indict a person for perjury before the statute of limitations runs out, and later on indict them for something else. A perjury indictment doesn’t indemnify a person against additional charges. In Clapper’s case, it would have served to let him know he’s on notice, and not above the law.

This guy is trying to catch the javelin for Bobo ... the MSM doesn't like his strategy because he is unphotogenic ugly; he talks down literally and figuratively; and he looks too much like Cheney - and Joe Six-pack can't tell the diff.

The only option left is that this Muslim (not that Muslim...later...) is stripped of his US citizenship, and turned over to the ICC for war crimes.

"How angry would he be to know the government had been surveilling him, his family, and ALL their friends and their friends friends (which they CAN do legally with the “two hop” rule)?"

You better believe it's happening!

"Enemies foreign and domestic."

Show me any Admin who has come in and said 'stop spying/prism/echelon/fiveeyes/carnivore'! NEVER.

This is wimpy brinksmanship by Crapper - he knows he's being surveilled - he's simply inviting Trump to take him in. IT'S STINKBAIT, and Trump knows it.

Irritating is not the word I’d use. I’d just call it a vast, unjustifiable double standard.

LOL, in his situation, of course...because he knows that actual law-breaking took place and that he isn’t an innocent American minding his own business or running a campaign.

There have likely been legal permissions for surveillance granted for some months now.

Somewhere a bell is missing its Clapper, just as in Hillary’s case, somewhere a village is missing its idiot.
