Indictment: Former Mayor Supported Developer In Exchange For Sex (Richardson TX)

Former Mayor of Richardson Laura Jordan and a developer are facing a multi-count indictment on various federal charges including bribery and honest services wire fraud.
Jordan’s name is redacted in the indictment, but it says the mayor in question was in office between May 2013-April 2015.

My guess is that it’s a BS indictment - they were dating and subsequently got married. So there was a clear conflict of interest such that the mayor should have recused herself. But the prosecutor decided to grandstand by overcharging with with a raft of charges in hopes that one will stick.
