I don't disagree with you on that, Ben, but the real problem is the increasing catering from non-Spanish language areas. I just received a recall notice for my Ford Fusion which was actually two letters: one in English and the other in Spanish. Why assimilate when everyone is reverse assimilating for you?
No, the problem is that illegal aliens are CRIMINALS. The first decision they make upon arriving in the USA is how to BREAK THE LAW. And they are cutting in front of legal immigrants, making suckers out of people who play by the rules and try to do the right thing. People who BREAK THE LAW should not get special privileges.
He is absolutely right. I recently heard the statistic that after 20 years over 51% of immigrants are on more assistance programs than those here 5 years or less. And that’s a much higher percentage of them not just a higher use of those programs.

The Left doesn’t even acknowledge a difference between legal and illegal immigration.
They have disqualified themselves from a rational discussion concerning illegal immigrants.

These areas are a sub-culture within American society. Ordinary ol American born folks could not and will not integrate into these sub-cultures because it is identical to what one would find South of the border in Messy-co.
Drove through one of these areas with my elderly dad a few dayz ago and it just infuriate me that the Mexicans have taken over and fly the Mexican flag. Just cannot believe my eyes.
I left So Calif 25 years ago this week. I remember that when election time rolled around, the ballot pamphlet & the ballots were printed in 68 languages and dialects.

DACA refers to the children who were brought here illegally and who by now have presumably been educated (at US taxpayer expense) in US schools, so they would at least have some command of the language and probably some skills if they’ve been here long enough.

Yes, we have all of that. We just thought since the person had been identified, we’d take a few minutes to locate her and let her know that there would be no “next time.” Just going the extra mile to try and be good neighbors. Also, since she’s not the only offender, we were in hopes that if the others work at the market, she would pass the word. FYI we also have a Starbucks next door, and when it went in, the management was telling the barristas that they should park in our lot. We fixed that problem immediately.
We had the tenant of an adjacent building who was the son-in-law of the owner decide to discontinue his trash service and use our dumpster. Unfortunately for him, our security cameras caught him in the act and when we sent the owner some video clips, he fessed up.
My sister lived on the 2nd floor of 3-story condominium. Her upstairs neighbors were Jamaican. They'd have cookouts on the porch, and when finished, tossed their burning coals over the railing!

They aren’t being trafficked here to assimilate or contribute anything; they are being trafficked here to provide/maintain the government workforce. Initially to keep classrooms full for the teachers’ unions - the de facto owners of the Democratic Party - which needs “clients”. Why was there even a discussion about allowing “unaccompanied minors” into the country? We are importing these people to replace our welfare underclass (which has seen its birthrate fall since the 1996 Welfare Reform), and the price is the same: They must sacrifice their children to the state. After providing a cushy job for public school staff (at American taxpayers’ expense), they’ll move on to providing a job for law enforcement and corrections staff - ideally popping out more clients in between.
They are brought here to give the rats more power and government employment at all levels of government.

But it gets worse. She rented to a Columbian couple, and advised she wouldn't want children living there. Later, she visited, and they were "baby-sitting".
It seems they "baby-sat" every day. :-/

I think we’d be surprised at how much English they DO know. They just choose not to use it and feign ignorance. I’ve run across that a couple times. Both times — Asians.
