Same everywhere.
Wheres the Goodfellows laughing pic ?
Not just the risk and the regulatory burden TODAY, but the fear of what they COULD be when even more Leftist kooks get elected.
Exit 162 for 55 yrs, 69 for 9 yrs...now gone for good!
Actually, Satin Dolls (a.k.a. the Bada Bing) closed recently.
I work about 5 minutes away and 15 years ago the place was always busy. The last few years, not so much.
Probably moved all the who-ers to Boca.
why wouldnt they want to stay in the sewer their brothers created?
Soon to turn blue in next 10 years: North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
Why those ungrateful fat cats, unwilling to pay their “fair” share.
I know of three blue state Freepers who go to Fist City when you suggest they voted for what they live under. They’re fun to watch.
Exit 109 here, Red Bank. Lived in Rumson for forty years but wasnt wealthy. We lived in Rumsons ghetto where the houses were no more than twenty feet apart. Left in 2013 and was heartbroken for a while but now would never go back. Firmly ensconced in a nice apartment complex now in Scottsdale AZ - I miss the ocean terribly but am learning to love cactus and blast-furnace summer heat.
But what the other contributors to similar threads have said is correct: even someone like me who considers himself to the right of Jesse Helms felt some sympathy for the striking Arizona teachers. Not TOO much...but some. Perhaps its an unavoidable syndrome for those who leave their home state for greener pastures - lets just hope there is an antidote. And for all the smart asses who are itching to tell me So? Go back there! Fuhgeddiboutit!
Yep...I’m in a small town in Northern Cal. No streetlights, no curbs, few sidewalks — semi-rural / suburban. Liberal guy from Boston moves in and doesn’t like it; too country. Somehow gets half the neighborhood to vote for curbs, we all get slapped with a $10,000 assessment, curbs go in. You know what happens next. He moves away. Curbs are here to stay.
It’s a microcosm of the liberal way.
Quote: If UR a democrat, stay out.
Really, you think Im a democrat?
They will move to Tennessee or Florida and then vote Democrat in their new tax free zone and by absentee ballot in New Jersey.

I said this on another thread...I know lots of folks escaping NYS, but they’re all middle class.
“Just dont vote for the same socialist policies that caused you to have to flee you former home once you get here.”
We should put up a wall to keep them out.
“I lived near exit 137 of the GSP. Somebody from Jersey would understand.”
FYI, when I left NJ with my wife in late 2000, and passed the “Welcome to Delaware” sign on the DMB, I turned to my wife and said, “Well, now you don’t have to worry about bailing me out of jail.” I got pie-eyes, and open mouth and “Why?” from her. I explained NJ’s “Assault Weapons Ban” including its ban on magazines over 15 rounds. She asked how many I had, and I told her, “About 18 inches behind my rear end is approximately 200 years in Rahway State Prison.” She turned white as a sheet, and didn’t say anything for about 30 seconds. Then she asked if Texas had any laws like that, and I said, “No, Texas is in America.”
In both cases, it is only more so now. NJ is truly a shithole, with the only redeeming feature being good Italian, Chinese and Jewish deli food, plus Rita’s Ices. Other than that, you can chuck the whole place - with its Leftist moron population.
