I like the P239 but I believe the law in Colorado allows up to 15 round magazines so a Glock 19 or Sig P226, P229, P320C or something similar would be fine also. I generally carry a P226 and I carry it when I visit my brother in Denver.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Colorado

“After July 1, 2013, magazines holding more than 15 rounds may not be sold, transferred, or possessed unless they were lawfully owned prior to July 1, 2013. Firearms with a tubular magazine which are either chambered in .22 rimfire or operated by lever action are exempt from this regulation, as are magazines “permanently altered” to limit the capacity to 15 or less.”

Nope, Denver doesn’t have any law exceeding state statute.

I carry at will around the state.

Sig 239’s are not approved for sale in CA, elsewise, I’d have one.

“Florida has a state preemption law. Municipal officials who pass such laws are subject to prosecution.”

So does PA. But it didn’t stop the Philly mayor from passing restrictions within city limits about 10 years ago.

They’ve since been thrown away, but there was a period of time when CCW holders were taking their chances carrying within city limits.

I vowed to simply never again visit the city, a promise that has been easy to keep.

Denver is a “home rule” city and does have some latitude, such as banning open carry. I’m not sure what their law is concerning AR15 rifles. They do have to respect CCW licenses from other counties.

Taurus 709 Slim, if you want a striker-fired pistol that works every time, with a manual safety.

I’ve put nearly 2000 rounds through mine without any problem, and it’s my EDC pistol.

Not stopping them from doing it and requires someone to pursue charges. Hence my argument that Gov Scott won’t do anything about it as he’s running against Bill Nelson for Senate.

Go to a firing range, rent some small handguns there, and fire em. You may want to call ahead to see what their collection of rentals encompasses.
