There was a thread last night it covered this thoroughly. President Trump has a fund set up for his lawyers to pay legal expenses he does not know where every penny goes. The lawyer draws the money out and it’s paid out therefore Trump has paid the lawyer back. Which means that the lawyer didn’t make an ill legal campaign contribution because his money was refunded. There are a lot of people on this website that need to think for themselves as Kanye West said.
I still struggle with germ-phobe Trump actually touching a sticky, dirty porn star. They are basically human house flies, leaving body waste on whatever they touch. Bleck!

A couple days ago, I think I heard Comey in an interview say that everyone lies...I lie...and I'm a good person.
That was the issue....campaign funds.
I was immediately struck by the conclusion that Trump lied. He hasn’t been shown to be a big liar, but this was immediate conclusion Cohen was the fixer who would take care of anything embarrassing to Trump. He paid Stormy off out of personal funds and drew up a NDA that Trump never signed. No evidence Trump slept with her. No evidence he knew about the NDA. Press question - did you know? No would be a truthful statement.

We should thank him. He just wiped the campaign contribution thing off the table. No where did he say Cohen asked him before doing it, nowhere does he say Trump did it ( as a matter of fact he said wealthy people pay “go away” money all the time and $130,000 is chump change.
That is what the author of the article wanted people to think, that Trump lied.
But post #22 is what i have always thought. Trump has an account with his lawyer, lawyer pays bills or judgments, like parking and speeding tickets, and Trump never knows about it.
Giuliani said what he had to say to kill the campaign contribution side of the story, but the MSM ran with it as Trump lying.
He said no because it’s the truth. He reimbursed him through his retainer agreement. He probably never even looked at it. Boy you guys are naive. People of great wealth wouldn’t even notice an amount like that.
$130,000 is a lot to us, but a billionaire wouldn’t notice a small “get out of here” amount like that.
I am completely amazed by the reaction of you and other nervous Nellie’s here on FR and the mention of anything spun as a negative by the media.
First of all nothing about the payment made to the porn star was illegal, NOTHING! Next, the fact Trumps lawyer Cohen was reimbursed for this payment is also not illegal. Since Cohen had POA from Trump he had authority to do what he did regarding the NRA and put of $130,000.
Finally Trump can plausibly claim he knew nothing of the payment made by Cohen until AFTER the fact and can do this because of the freedom Cohen had to make the payment without consulting the President under provisions of Trumps PoA.
