The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is changing its name for the first time in its 108-year history.
The scouting organization, originally designed for boys ages 11-17, will be called “Scouts: BSA” starting in February, The Associated Press reported.
The move to a gender-neutral name arrives on the heels of the organization’s decision to accept female members next year.
“We wanted to land on something that evokes the past but also conveys the inclusive nature of the program going forward,” Surbaugh said.
“We’re trying to find the right way to say we’re here for both young men and young women.”

If Congress had any backbone, they would revoke the BSA’s charter and give one to Trail Life USA.
How stupid. I’m glad that I’m not affiliated with this organization as it exists today. I’m an Eagle Scout, by the way.
I suggest the new name be GSA - Godless Scouts of America.
And credit Rex Tillerson for his instrumental role in ruining the Boy Scouts.

The Girl Scouts now allow boys to join.
Getting a girl to be mute for two days; do not see that as possible.
Good Lord - my father who was a District Executive for BSA in the 60'& 70's is rolling over in his grave.....

I notice that they also dropped “America” from their name.
