Yes,they need care,protection and guidance but perhaps we can dump the millions of SSDI recipients with phony back pain and anxiety claims and use the money to help genuinely disabled people.
For those that may be new here, There’s only 1 answer for abortion questions on Freerepublic so why ask? Nothing productive comes from such threads and it’s not really a debatable topic.

No unborn babies should be aborted. Not a one.
However, babies will be aborted. It’s like saying that no women should be raped, or no men should be murdered. There is nothing that will stop all of those bad things. Certainly not laws.
Morality is in the heart, where only Gd can see it. Legislation can be determined with the help of our morality but laws do not stop evildoers.
Humans will never be perfect. But we must not stop trying.

Sometimes, they do. The fear of prison may be enough to dissuade a would be robber or rapist or murderer ... the reality of prison is often enough to prevent them repeating their crimes.

Ok, I do agree. But while laws against murder keep some people from grabbing that gun, they will never stop all murder. People need to realize that laws against abortion worked as well as alcohol prohibition.

Perhaps. Drinking alcoholic beverages is not an inherently evil act. Ripping a baby apart with a dull knife is an inherently evil act. Poisoning a baby with concentrated brine is an inherently evil act.

My friend’s daughter is 14 now and perfectly healthy. They wanted him and his wife to abort because of downs, but instead he got a new doctor. Good Christian man.
