Democratic Party files suit alleging conspiracy by Trump campaign,

The Democratic Party on Friday filed a multimillion-dollar federal lawsuit against Trump campaign officials, the Russian government and WikiLeaks alleging a widespread conspiracy to tilt the 2016 election in Donald Trump's favor.

Calling it an “all-out assault on our democracy,” the Democratic National Committee filed the civil suit in federal district court in Manhattan. The suit amounts to another legal broadside related to the 2016 race, on top of the special counsel's ongoing Russia probe and the FBI raid on Trump's personal attorney last week.

"The conspiracy constituted an act of previously unimaginable treachery: the campaign of the presidential nominee of a major party in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the Presidency," the suit states.

It claims that Trump campaign officials worked in tandem with the Russian government and its military spy agency to bring down Hillary Clinton by hacking into the computer networks of the DNC and spreading stolen material.

“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” said DNC Chairman Tom Perez in a statement, calling the alleged collusion “an act of unprecedented treachery.”

Yeah, that is exactly spot on.

The whole “Russian interfered in the election” was manufactured to drive the Wikileaks information out of the news and cover up the wide spread, deep, corruption at the DNC.

Once they lost the election, which they never thought would happen, they blew up the whole fake Russian story into grounds for Special Council investigation. Now that Muller has cross the board failed, they dream up this idiocy to keep the deflection going.

With the current state of the ‘judicial’ system, it has legs.

The democrats aren’t that stupid. I saw another article this morning about the Clinton campaign violating campaign financing issues. I suspect that the democrats were worried about the Republicans going after one or more of the democrat issues in civil court, and tried to preempt to get a favorable judge. How else, with a straight face, could they make the line about paying a foreign entity to affect the election being a crime? DNC -> Law Firm -> Fusion GPS -> Steele anyone? The counterclaims, and resultant discovery, are going to be a bear. Those who seek equity must do equity.

American progressives have been fed a steady diet of Russophobic propaganda for two years.

Despite a lack of credible evidence or a reasonable motive, they believe — genuinely believe, with a religious fervency — that Trump is an utterly loathsome and treasonous human being who conspired with Putin to become US president.

I hold no brief for Trump: I have disliked the guy since he became a media figure in the 80s and did not vote for him. However, the Trump-Putin conspiracy theory is as ridiculous as some of the 9/11 conspiracy theories. It’s even less credible than most of the stuff Alex Jones spouts off. At least the Alex Jones-type conspiracy theories usually can identify some credible, albeit weak and/or problematic, evidence and motive. (E.g., the Podesta circle really did exhibit some weird behavior, unidentified black helocopters can be seen flying, jets often have contrails and aircraft actually do disperse chemicals for various reasons (crop dusting and various experimental purposes), Obama really has Marxian sympathies and has a weird background, Bohemian Grove is a weird cultish group, the Bilderburg Group really is comprised of extremely powerful people, etc., etc., even though the conspiracies are far-fetched.)

Even though it’s ridiculous to an objective observer, the Trump-Putin conspiracy will bring out the progressive Democrat base in November.

If not SDNY does not summarily dismiss this case as it should, the DNC strategy may convince a bunch of fencesitters and low-information voters as well.

It’s a risky strategy, but it might just work.

The DNC who rigged their own primary are now suing the Republicans saying they rigged the election!

They lost the election they try to steal, and will never get over it!

Time for counter lawsuits for frivolous lawsuit and defamation of character.

So their suit against Billary Inc. isn’t or didn’t go anywhere - for defrauding the DNC of millions that was supposedly donated to a joint DNC-Billary, Inc. PAC, to bolster fundraising for the DNC, but where little of the funds made it to the DNC, and most was “laundered” into the Billary, Inc. campaign - so they are trying a legal shakedown of the Trump campaign instead.

“What does ‘k & r’ mean?”

It appears to be their version of bttt (bump to the top).

Apparently stands for kick and recommend. Kick seems to be partly a reference to the Democrat donkey symbol.

This is just an attempt to keep the Trump-Russia collusion crap going. They saw it was starting to fail and want to re-energize it. It’s gonna fail. Question is, is it enough to edge out Tom Perez.

So, their theory is that the dissemination of accurate copies of their emails caused them damage?

Even though Trump is a billionaire on paper, it is laughable to believe that he had the monetary resources to beat Hillary in the disinformation campaign. 90% of the press was with her.
His MAGA moniker did the trick IMHO..

By suing Trump, the DNC opened the door for the truth to be revealed (in court) about what happened to Seth Rich, where Wikileaks got the DNC emails from and the dirt on Hillary's campaign.

*** “DNC is jumping the shark to the extreme” ***

I’m ignorant in many ways (just me knowing that means I’m not stupid) BUT... did I not hear a year or two ago that the DNC was BROKE and then had be Bailed Out (Purchased by the Clinton Foundation on the Cheap) The DNC is a Private Corporation and I can see how this was not only possible that the Clinton Foundation now owns it but very likely owns it.
After watching the Destruction of Bernie Sanders the Unleashing of the Super Delegates then the lack of Hillary Campaigning and the Circling of the Wagons by the MSM (who are the only Asset that the DNC can consider as Salable, ie an asset still worth anything to the Company)
What have I missed?
Hillary (or the Clinton’s) Own the DNC (the MSM Media is but an undeclared asset) and Hillary is now a Negative asset (aka a burden).
I did not and have not seen where the DNC has been sold again, been bailed out or? Now they think they have the funds to launch a bunch of frivolous Lawsuits? Who or What or Where do these funds originate?
DNC might be due for an IRS audit

I gotta be missing something. (Whoa there it is, found my beer... right where I left it)

Democratic Party files suit alleging conspiracy by Trump campaign,

The Rat folks just can not accept the fact that their darling Miss Hillary lost the election to President Trump in 2016. The Rats were even crying after their Hillary lost the election. What a bunch of losers!!!

The Rats will continue to lose big time in future elections if they keep up their behavior of lying, confuse the electorate, dishonesty, backbiting, distortions, misrepresentations, misleading facts, perjuring themselves, etc., etc. BTW, this describes the right arm of the Rat party which is the Fake News MSM.
