We don’t want our kids and grandkids on drugs.

I don't accept any of those claims; where's the evidence?

The evidence is in the car insurance premiums ... step daughter moved to Aurora last year from southern Maryland ... her insurance is 3-4x what it is in Maryland.

burglary, robbery, rape are crimes against other people.

a person using marijuana is no different than a person drinking alcohol.

the war on drugs, though, has resulted in laws that have criminalized legal behavior under the guise of “protecting” me from those horrible drug dealers.

For instance, the farmer going to buy a tractor, carrying cash for the purchase, is pulled over and the cash is seized because why would he be carrying that much cash. And, how many years does the farmer have to spend proving his innocence in a country where you supposed to be “innocent until PROVEN guilty”. If he can prevail at all.

Or the restaurant owner depositing their daily receipts but they are always under $10k. Must be a money launderer. Seize their business, send them to prison.

Repeal legal alcohol. No other drug has done more damage to humanity than alcohol.

Or so you now claim.

You've forgotten already? Perhaps something, some substance in your environment, is interfering with your ability to form memories?

Great! Lets turn the whole nation into streets filled with lazy, stoned out teens and millennials begging for money for their weed habit. It’s working so well here in California and in Colorado.

Then again ... they would be too lazy to go and vote lol ...

Obvious nonsense - criminalizing across the board is self-evidently more restrictive than criminalizing under certain circumstances.

Talk about obvious nonsense. The very criminalizing under certain circumstances is what I'm talking about. Those numerous certain circumstances will have to be defined, in excruciating detail, monitored, enforced, funded, and prosecuted when violated - all by force of LAWS.

It gives Big State growing hormones.

Drinking alcohol doesn't happen in absolute isolation. People have to drink in the real world - somewhere, something, with some need of responsibility. Haven't you ever heard of public intoxication laws? Do you think these are unreasonable?

LMAO the Rat party platform is shaping up: legalize marijuana, reparations for blacks, raise taxes, open borders, free healthcare for illegals, etc

May they all remain in their Rat Tard bubble.

I honestly don’t get the “420” reference. What is it?

Look at the Alaska pot law. Of course it will. You can grow your own plants and smoke in your own residence. Why pay for what you can grow for free. That would be stupid. Pot is a ‘weed’ and can grow anywhere, really. Besides, where would the massive illegal market be if you could grow pot legally and buy it legally.

The fact that Schumer, a radical leftist, would be proposing this ought to make conservatives at least THINK about accepting it out of hand.

The evidence for your daughter’s insurance premiums are not due to legal marijuana. Colorado has had a massive population influx as well as several massive natural disasters that have driven up our insurance rates. Last here there was a hail storm that ran over 1 billion in damages for insurance companies.

Also, my son wants to point out that you coasters keep moving to CO and ruining this beautiful state by dragging in your flipping irresponsible, liberal policies.

Alaska is admittedly a very unusual example, being remote, sparsely populated and independently minded. Most people there (but not all) have the ability to grow their own. But do you honestly believe that pot is only grown there for personal consumption? Please.

WHAT? Did you really just post that?

Drinking alcohol doesn't happen in absolute isolation

Public intoxication laws. Yeah, that stopped someone from drinking in public. Being intoxicated in public.

But better, I love the uniformed making self-embarassing comments on the internet for all to see.

I see you have no problem with the government, in the guise of protecting you, erode your civil liberties.
