Of course he’s not a “target” - he’s a “subject”.
The difference, in this case, is as thin and as durable as wet toilet paper.
Telling a subject they are not a target is an ancient trick to get the subject to talk to the prosecutor.
I have been a “subject”, and let me tell you, any lawyer will say that a subject should NEVER NEVER EVER talk to the government without immunity.
The sole purpose for a prosecutor to talk to an un-immunized subject is to turn that subject into a target.
Haven’t we been down this road before? Or have you forgotten that Comey pulled the same stunt early in the Trump administration? Yet here we are, over a year later with an investigation that never ends.
Ohhh... OK. Rosenstein told Trump. And we have no reason to doubt anything Rosenstein says. Riiight.

What exactly is Mueller doing that takes forever and costs the taxpayers gazillions of dollars? Also, while it may have escaped your notice, the press has derived ~1 million anti-Trump stories from the witch hunt. How do you spin that as a good thing?

Not a target but subject “ matter”.

Sessions wasn’t mentioned in this blurb above, was he? Sessions, on DAY 2, recused from Russia/campaign related investigations, and certainly all things-Mueller, who was appointed by Rosenstein, as Acting Attorney General, on all things Russia.
I think Sessions is in charge of making announcements and is allowed to go after smaller criminal profiles than those of US government elites.
Bill Mitchell has maintained that this has been Trump and Sessions’ plan all along to smoke out the Deep State and mislead the LSM.
I pray that this will be proven true and all of this BS will be wrapped up someday very very soon!!
