My father, oldest brother, and youngest brother were all alcoholic. Youngest brother died a horrendous death as a result of alcohol and substance abuse.

After all night partying, took my SAT’s one Saturday morning, after boning up in the parking lot, and again at the break.

If they have a baseline IQ of 140, they are still way smarter than the average Joe. If their baseline IQ is 90, they go through life retarded and not knowing it.

You’re implying that users get smarter or more creative under the influence. The study shows nothing of the sort.
What it says is that within 72 hours of usage cognitive capacities are impaired and that after 72 hours AT BEST they returns to normal. But if you’re a constant user you’re constantly and SIGNIFICANTLY impaired!

Really good news here. Our yoots don’t need to smoke pot while driving in order to enjoy that comfortable buzz (freeway driving in particular can be very aggravating) — they can’t just toke up before and it will last and last and last.

Everyone is some degree of dumb on pot. And significantly diminished.
No, I would not hire a chronic user if I could parse them out from the occasional user. But I would not hesitate to hire an occasional user.
Since it’s impossible to parse them out, I would judge them on performance alone.
I would have rather thanked God that my brother never started drinking, smoking, or ingesting in the first place.

I have a nephew that burned his liver at age 34.
He’s sober now and trying to prove he’s worthy of a transplant.
How the hell does one burn out their liver that quick? He was an amazingly poor drinker, every day was a binge drunk.

This research and CNNs summary completely ignore the existing research that indicates there is long term damage to the brain of developing brains. This has been confirmed with a lack / loss of white matter in the brain. Pot turns kids permanently into idiots.
