Parkland Hero Who Was Shot Five Times Rips Sheriff Israel

Anthony Borges, a Parkland shooting victim who was shot five times, released a statement on Friday that criticized the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for failing to protect students.

Borges, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student, was recently released from the hospital but remains in a wheelchair. He was shot five times while barricading a classroom door to prevent Nikolas Cruz from getting to his classmates.

The survivor appeared with his lawyer, Alex Arreaza, at a press conference on Friday evening. Arreaza read a statement on Borges’ behalf that placed blame on Sheriff Scott Israel, the Broward County School District, and the Broward deputies who did not enter while Cruz was shooting up the school.

“I know I’ve been called Iron Man,” the statement said. “And while I’m honored to be called this, I am not. I’m a 15-year-old who’s been shot five times, while Broward Sheriff’s deputies waited outside and decided that they weren’t going to come in the building.”

An unarmed coach Aaron Feis was shot dead protecting students.

If he carried, he and perhaps a dozen students would still be alive.

Arm the Aarons!

...they want to focus on the failures within the system that allowed law enforcement to miss warning signs on Cruz.

Recommend they focus on the issue:
The "system" was doing exactly what it was directed to do by liberal state and federal policies. There were no failures!

“Instead, they say they want to focus on the failures within the system that allowed law enforcement to miss warning signs on Cruz.”

They didn’t miss the warning signs. They deliberately ignored them and covered them up.

The “authorities” did not miss anything

The authorities did nothing because Hussein Obama’s directions were to hide troubling stats.

Find a lawyer who wants to make a name for himself and sue them

A survivor who meets every definition of the word vs Herr Hogg, the fascist puppet impostor who was not even in the same building.

She was a captain on the Fort Lauderdale PD and evidently kept her rank when she came over.

And the sad part is he will never received the same kind of attention as the very unpleasant Hogg gets.

This young man is a survivor AND a hero!

I don’t understand it either. If he refused to resign, he should have been removed. He is at best incompetent.

A single officer might not be able to neutralize an active shooter, but he has a very high probability of at least cornering the shooter in a confined space. The deputy hiding outside had extensive knowledge of the building, a unique advantage compared to most law enforcement. The sheriff’s department response was so far out of line with current accepted doctrine that there is no question that the management needs to be removed.

"A single officer might not be able to neutralize an active shooter, but he has a very high probability of at least cornering the shooter in a confined space. "

What happens most often is that the perp, when he first meets armed resistance, will suicide by his own hand, rather than risk apprehension and jail. The Parkland shooter was NOT typical, possibly because he had been successful in leaving the campus and may have felt that he had "gotten away scot-free".
