Well, I have to disagree that we allow them. I see too much of the wicked flourishing in this world and it’s certainly not because I or millions of other people allow them to. Exactly ... the issue isn’t good parent vs bad parent, it’s believing that the government is supposed to be ANY type of parent to you.
But if we all lived our lives as God tells us to, don’t you think our society would be better off? “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17. Christians have an obligation to obey God, and that most of us have done a pretty poor job of it, is reflected in our society.
