It’s construction training for the Army Corps of Engineers
Well; the cops were due to us kids finding a box of nuts and bolts (big ones!) on a trestle that was going to be repaired.
They made really satisfying splashes into the river below as we tried to see just who could throw one the farthest.
The fire was due to us building a ratty old lean to ‘cabin’ in the woods and building a campfire. It kinda got away from us.
The knife incident was due to my cousin getting a brand new hunting knife for his birthday and I had none. So we went to the shed/workshop and found an old file and ground it down to a blade shape for me. Put a wooden handle, held with electrical tape, and we were good to go for a day of knife throwing and mumblypeg.
Twas the late night sword fighting movie on tv that done me in!
After healing (no stitches or anything) I never had a bit of trouble from that episode; other than having a small part of the skin over the joint where the middle finger leaves the hand.

Precisely, so, since the open southern border is a huge threat to the nation’s security, probably #1 on the list, let the military engineers build this defensive barricade.
