Should "Ausrin" = Austin, it is understood why you might feel as you do. A very liberal city. The same critters one would expect to find in DC.

Leaving liberal cities behind us, take off for parts less inhabited and find hoards of people just like the two of us. Hard working, ready to give you the shirt off their back, and very tired of being treated as one would treat the lowest form of wild life. Texas still has these towns if looking.
And as for heat/cold. Will take heat but the cold, dark days, day after day after day does not lend itself to happy camping. Unable to take the freezing days of winter months.
Texas has seasons, they might not be the
normal seasons found in other states: usually one snowy
day, blooms, plenty of sun in Summer and a good deal of
falling, be it off bulls, broncos, or the trees shedding
their leaves.

Born a Texan; if the Good Lord willing, will die a Texan.

You didn’t read the rest of the sentence?

Sheesh. You are not worth the time to debate this. Bye.

What are you talking about?

I'm talking about people running around this community saying they can no longer support the President because he signed a friggin' 6-month spending bill.

Yes, I typed Austin. I was there in the mid 60s. It is not too late to move to Missouri. Stephen F. Austin was a Missourian who went to save Texas.

“...who went to save Texas.”
_________

And Texans appreciate that just as we remember and appreciate Jim Bowie (Kentucky) and Davy Crockett (Tennessee).
REMEMBER THE ALAMO

Of course I remember, but Texas named the Capitol after Mr. Austin. I have visited the Alamo twice. My stepdads parents lived in Longview and we visited a dozen times, at least. In total, I lived in Texas 5 years and civilized many Texans while I was there. 🌝

Conservatives believe in PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH...who are you, a Democrat?

If not wanting to piss away our blood and treasure in no-win "wars" makes me a Democrat, then I guess that's what I am.

I believe in fighting wars this way:

1. Go in with overwhelming force.

2. Fight without restraint until the enemy is brought cringing to the surrender table.

3. Go home.

Show me where we have fought like that since the Japs surrendered in 1945.

I apologize for being rude...not enough sleep.

I think with all nuclear capabilities, it is better to have less actual interaction than to be powerful enough to get what you want ‘peacefully’, if possible.

However if you are going to WAR...you have it right.

Enjoy the night.

Not true at all. Let's be honest, this was roughly a 10 percent increase in overall non discretionary spending. That amounts to an extra 130 billion, hardly the 750 billion spending disaster of the stimulus bill.
