The trouble is anyone who leads an organization that implements such a titanically stupid idea, and will go on the record as doing so, is a manager who has surrounded himself with brown-nosers and toadies... by definition.
I have no doubt many SMEs would be more than happy to volunteer in an independent review of this policy ;-)

Hopefully, there will be only one “students massacred while throwing rocks at terrorist” stories, before the administration comes to their senses and arms trained teachers, coaches and administrators.
