Rush, I don't really like Trump, and didn't vote for him.
I supported Ted Cruz and still do.
In Mississippi, my home state, I support Chris McDaniel.
That being said, the best thing Trump could do is to VETO this monstrosity of a Continuation bill, and it WOULD affect my retirement pay.
Trump needs to have a Joint Speech in the House of Representatives about this disaster, and CHEW THOSE ELECTED ESTABLISHMENT MEMBER OUT !
Trump needs to STAND FIRM and ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO PASS ANY BILL THAT HE DOES NOT AGREE WITH !
Trump is the President and he is an EQUAL POWER to the House of Representatives, and an EQUAL POWER to the Senate !
It's time for Trump to STAND FIRM and use his VETO Pen.
Then his base support would rally behind him !
Since the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF did it, then SO CAN TRUMP !

I agree with your request for a veto. Rush was very light on doing a veto. Yet a veto likely couldn’t be overturned. But he likely will sign it and thus owns it.

This has nothing to do with sides or percentages. Rush tried to paint, albeit weakly, an out for Trump should he sign this which is likely if it hits his desk. Some will claim the public will go nuts. Yet his base should be if this is signed into to law. Trump’s signature makes this his bill. He owns it. He wasnt suggesting Trump veto this. He wasnt banging the podium. He was basically trying to explain a bad decision away by blaming it on people trying to slay Trump.
Trump’s pen is his sword. It can be used to slay this or cut his throat. His signature makes it law. His veto sends it back to Congress. Overriding his veto makes the swamp own it. Trump’s signature puts him eyeball deep a part of the swamp.
The only way Trump’s signature foesnt hurt him is if his supporters are so blindly supportive they will accept anything he does. Right or wrong.
