Wow. Someone armed at the school makes things stop.
Someone should have considered this before.

Ah, yes, you are correct - ventilated.

I am not sure I understand your point. These days it is almost always true that the first reports are almost always wrong.

The article has been rewitten since I posted it.
It is shorter and has less detail in my opinion.
I only posted an excerpt, but event that has changed.

Wanna bet he is fired already. Defeats the narrative being used by the tools of the pinko party.

SRO shot at perp.
SRO missed peep.
Perp then shot himself.
Only 1 gunshot wound found.
Perp lived about 2 hours.
This is how it went down.
To: JayAr36
No, I doubt that will happen.
Knowing where the school is, I suspect the SRO is a policeman. Possibly plain clothes, possibly not.
MD is not a gun friendly environment.
I have relatives who live there. I have no interest in going there.

Yes, invite the armed guard and about a half dozen other folks who have stopped similar attacks, like the ones who stopped the Texas wannabe jihadis who tried to shoot up Pam Geller's event a couple years ago, couple of off-duty officers who stopped mall shooters, etc. Put them right in front of those kids and give them some real statistics about “good guys with guns.” That would be some nice food for thought for the Tide-Pod generation.

I am listening to Iheart radio WHAS, 840, out of Louisville. Just heard an update on the Maryland shooting. The reporter only told about the girl who is in critical condition, the boy who is in a stable condition, the shooter who is dead and not a word about how the carnage was stopped. Left all listeners who did not know wondering, I am sure. Leftists are dangerous for us.

The Great Mills High School student who injured two others Tuesday morning was stopped by the schools armed resource officer.
According to St. Marys County Sheriff Tim Cameron, the school resource officer (SRO) fired a round at the shooter, who fired a round in return. The shooter is now dead, Cameron confirmed Tuesday morning, and an investigation will determine whether the SROs bullet struck the shooter.
The incident is now over, though the shooter managed to injure two students. One of them is in critical condition in the hospital, Cameron said. The SRO was not injured during the incident.

This is how we stop school violence! Armed guards who will shoot to kill and armed teachers, who will do the same.

Laws currently allow it in Texas. Many schools have implemented it. It is a local school board option, with some requirements attached.

Good news.
There are some teachers, who should never be near a loaded gun or carry one.
We have friends who were in the military and hunters as well as being teachers and/or principals.
I hunted with them, and we let our sons hunt with them.
We would have had zero problems with these guys or men like them carrying a gun in school. Let them wear their pistols on their hips.
