I once sued my own lawyer. I discovered that there were few lawyers that would sue other lawyers. This lawyer I found (out of town!) and hired had the lawsuit filed before I left his office the first time. Settled a year later for approximately a half million dollars.
Shaking up (firing) selective members of your legal team is sometimes necessary to get their attention. I think this is what Trump is up to.
