Dicks’ selection (and knowledge) about firearms was already lacking at our local store...lots of inventory but very very very little of what anyone would want for serious hunting or defense
we were still shopping there for the “plinking” ammo and for many, many other things in other departments which carried a more complete or satisfactory line of goods (clothing, soccer balls, etc.)
we have now, of course, stopped all Dicks’ patronage for both ourselves and the soccer teams we were purchasing for

We have choices when we seek to buy sporting goods. There is nothing that I need at Dick's that I can't buy in a Second Amendment friendly store.

Dicks staff usually didn’t know much about the rifles and even less about the ammo.... and the store carried almost no rifles we’d be interested in buying (mostly they had rifles suitable for training a youngster...perfectly okay for that...but not for an adult hunter, and they had almost nothing appropriate for defensive purposes), but we were still picking up cases of ammo ....again just for casual target practice, Dicks almost never had any ammo worth buying for any serious purpose). In other words, Dicks is a clothing store that happens to also sell soccer balls ... and other stuff for kids to enjoy. Mostly a clothing store.
Very expensive clothing but they had a ton of it and included were a few items we liked and could not find elsewhere, mostly just that a clothing store with a ring of soccer balls, baseball bats, kids toys .......
It was fine for what it had, we just couldn’t find anything useful in the firearms corner except shots for 25 or 100 casual target practice, plinking as they say
not a serious store for adults, hunting, or defensive purposes. Lots of fishing poles and lures, that was fine.... but a store we’ve very EASILY stopped patronizing...what with their new anti-Second Amendment BS. To hell with them, we can go next door or down the block with our money.
IIRC, there are 7 CCW permits in San Fran. Feinstein & her bodyguards have 6 of those permits....

Pelosi, Feinstein, Hitlery is there any difference? Docks is about 1 mile from my house but I drive an extra 4 miles to goto Academy because they are always cheaper and offer better and friendlier service.
