U.S. troops who repelled Russian mercenaries prepare for more attacks

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria — Standing on a windswept mound, Brig. Gen. Jonathan Braga pointed to the spot just a mile away from where Russian mercenaries and fighters loyal to the Syrian government fired at his soldiers.

"Those artillery rounds could have landed and killed Americans, and that's why we continue to prepare our defenses," said Braga, the director of operations for the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State coalition. U.S. troops who came under fire from Russian mercenaries prepare for more attacks

Only steps away sits a sprawling oil and gas refinery that American forces captured from ISIS last year and that is just beginning to hum with life again.

Braga's forces repelled the surprise assault from the pro-Bashar al-Assad fighters and the Russian private military contractors. The Feb. 7 clash was the first time in 50 years that Americans and Russians have engaged in direct combat.

Also take not that the Hamburg cell that Atta belonged to and which carried out the 9/11 attacks on the US was organized by a Syrian imam and a Syrian businessman with direct ties to Syrian intelligence.

Turkey and Israel allies? You are insane. NOT going to happen.

“and the Russians are giving the air support to the Kurds the Turks are attacking although so far only bombing the ISIS/Al Q proxies the Turks lead off offensives with.”

Russia opened the airspace over Efrin to Turkey. Period. THERE IS NO AIR SUPPORT for Kurds by Russia.

Turkey is bombing civilians and SDF/YPG/YPJ and home militias aligned with Assad.

You must be out of the loop.

This is crazy, we shouldn’t even be in Syria. They don’t want us and we are supporting the rebels that Russia and Syria are fighting. This NBC news article says we have about 2,000 men in Syria.

A Russian tycoon Businessman named Yevgeny Prigozhin is one of the main financiers of the Russian mercenaries. The Russian mercenary commander goes by the name of Vagner. He has 2,000 mercenaries fighting under him. With Russia’s 6,000 real military, there are 8,000.

Our troops are imbedded with the Syrian rebels. Of course we will be attacked. The Russians and Syrians are fighting the rebels that happen to have a few American’s embedded.

Putin was interviewed by NBC in early March 2018. He told NBC that “we know about fighters’ plans to stage the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian army”.

On March 12, 2018 it was reported that Haley warns Syria not to use chemical weapons or we will bomb Damascus, Syria’s capital. Many Russians are stationed in Damascus and Russia promised to retaliate.

She called for a cease fire, but this time she is telling Syria and Russia that they have to let the terrorists control Ghouta without retaliating. Russia and Syria says they will protect the citizens of Ghouta.

Then the terrorists release a chemical bomb knowing that the U.S. will blame Assad and bomb Damascus and Russia will retaliate against the U.S.

Why isn’t this covered more in the news. If people knew we were backing Muslim rebels to overthrow a country, this madness would stop and we would pull out of Syria.

“Vagner is a cruel fellow,” one of the Vagner commanders told RFE/RL. “He’s no fool.” The man added that Vagner has a swastika tattooed on his shoulder, wears a helmet with horns, and practices a form of paganism, a description that RFE/RL could not confirm.
***
The Vagner fighters know that they mustn’t be taken prisoner. And their IS foes know it, too.

“It is the kind of war without ceremony,” one commander said. “Everyone knows perfectly well that being captured means death by torture.”

“I have specialists who remove eyes,” he added. “They take a spoon and dig around up and down until the eyeballs are just dangling there.”
***
“If we have to fight with America, we will win,” he said. “They don’t know how to fight. As Putin said, you can invent all sorts of missiles, but you can’t invent people like we have. Our people — they know how to sacrifice themselves.”

I like Sessions, his quizzing Panetta on his act of war on Syria without congressional approval was alarming enough that I transcribed it and posted it here:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/steve-siemen/panetta-bypasses-congress/10155881725105040/

“Do you think you can act without congress to initiate a no-fly zone in Syria without congressional approval?
Secretary Panetta:
No, again, our goal would be to seek international permission and we would come to congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we want to get permission from congress, I think those are issues we would have to discuss as we decide what to do here.
Senator Sessions:
Well, I’m almost breathless about that, because what I heard you say here is, we’re going to seek international approval and then we will come and tell congress what we might do, and we might seek congressional approval. I want to just say to you, that’s a big, wouldn’t you agree, you served in the congress, wouldn’t you agree that that would be pretty breathtaking to the average American. So would you like to clarify that.”

But Hell! Obama used our intelligence community to find shit on Trump and they still haven’t found anything. They are literally trying to bankrupt President Trump’s associates in legal fees.

Using our intelligence community, The Five Eyes or Europe, and in the end days of Obama’s regime to undermine his opponent is historical. It is worse than having a Kenyan becoming an American president.

Sessions knows that we have a deep state that uses our intelligence community for political purposes, why is he so slow to put the Obama regime behind bars?

You and many others seem to think this is a game where we can take our ball and go home. It isn't.

If we don't stay then sooner or late the Iranians and Russia will control the area and cut-off the Straits of Hormuz to attack the Saudis and Gulf States.

Oil will move to $200 or more per barrel and gasoline will be $10/gallon or more in the US, if you can get it at all. Our economy will crash, and the impoverished voters will probably vote for some socialist.

Could we make ourselves independent from what happens in various Middle Eastern sh*tholes? Sure, but the likelihood of that happening are about the same as death by meteorite.

If we leave the ME now, we'll just be back again in an even worse situation a few years from now or have an even bigger war somewhere else as a consequence of our defeat. Non-interventionism is a political fantasy. And right now we are maintaining an important strategic position at almost no cost, so it would be even more stupid to throw it away in a fit of pique.

ISIS is a rump of its former self, and we allowed them to retreat from Raqqa because a street to street fight with them in an urban area would just be stupid.

Russia is there because its a way to put a thumb in our eye and help the Iranians and because they though it would be cheap.

It's turning out to be a lot harder than they thought.

The notion that there is some NATO conspiracy or false flag operation is just tinfoil hat Russian propaganda: what other NATO country is fighting with the US? No one. Lookum the Magnificent has Turkey pursuing some idiotic neo-Ottoman empire building that is also turning out to be far more expensive than he thought.

I totally agree. The reason for the steady drip drip drip of attacks on Trump aside from driving him from office? To drive him into direct conflict with Russia, to keep the “arab spring” alive. It serves someones interests, not Americans or anyone I care about.

Let the entire ME implode, it is not our problem. The lesson of the World Wars was not that we should be more proactive like Britain was. The lesson is, we should stay home and prepare to make a decision after these EU supporting idiots get their asses in a sling that may be Nationally fatal to them. It is the only way we can really help, stay solvent and stay strong with a Nationalistic regeneration while the rest of the world implodes. It worked for us twice, and our casualties were many times less. Now tell me what is wrong with that?

You don’t have to be very smart to know that a shia crescent middle east controlled by an ICBM armed, Death to America Iran is not in our interests.

If Russia had handled the de-conflict correctly, it would not have happened.

But just the same, heavy losses.
