Before the Trotskyists took over the Republican Party and became the Neocons, Tariffs were an official plank in the party platform.
I have yet to hear any of them admit that. (They may have addressed it; I haven’t heard it.)

That’s like most basic cops being conservative: So what? The ones with the power use it for the Left. See: San Jose and the Convention Center and Trump followers.
I highly oppose private unions, although I accept their legality. I utterly denounce public unions, and reject their legality.
My best friend was a teacher. She and a few others were conservative. The NEA totally did not represent them. The NEA was flagrantly political on campus, promoting leftist causes and the DemoKKKrat Party.
Unions are communistic, period.
