Whistleblower Says Illegal Aliens Have ‘Taken Over Every Trade’ in CA Construction (T)
Breitbart ^ | 14 March 2018 | John Binder

Posted on 03/15/2018 6:09:14 AM PDT by PapaBear3625

A whistleblower in the southern California construction industry says illegal alien workers have “taken over every trade” in the business while driving down wages by an estimated 40 percent.

...

Blaine Taylor, the whistleblower, said the construction industry in California once offered a starting wage of about $45 an hour in the late 1980s. Fast-forward to 2018 — nearly two decades into when illegal aliens began flooding the industry — he now says that wages have fallen by more than half, standing at just $11 an hour.

What would be useful to me is for someone directly involved on the business side of CA trades with respect to inputting personal experiences.

For Gods sake, ya don't talk to the greedy employers. They're the same SOBs who've hired millions of these criminals. Hello??

You're the same guy who believes millions of illegals have not significantly affected wages and employment the work place? Yep, that's you.

How about some truth? Mr. Hoot?

I know of many cases. Lemme tell ya about this one case where an illegal alien machine operator who always drank alcohol on breaks in the back ally, returned from break one day and was so drunk he started urinating all over the rubber mat he stood on, while all his illegal co-workers rolled on the floor laughing.

Did the greedy azsholes who hired him fire him? No! This individual was sent home and was authorized to return to work the following day.

Ya know why Mr. Hoot? Take a wild guess.

Btw Mr. Hoot, there are many other cases just as alarming as this one. Lemme know if ya want to hear more.

If you think there aren’t many illegal pot smokers you are kidding yourself. There is nothing special about their character, some are upstanding, some are dopers, some are drinkers, some are worse. Just like everyone else...

Gee, I wonder if New York City misses the old mobbed up LIUNA (Laborers International Union of No. America). They presumably kept the illegals out (unless they were made to pay off the unions besides dues).

Gotta ask Dinkins and other NY mayors during the 1980’s and 90’s about that. Might as well as the Clintons too since they got about $3.5 million in LIUNA donations in exchange for about $35 MILLION in federal grants to trade construction workers in union schools.

See: “The American Spectator”, April 1977, Byron York, “Let’s Be Friends: A Mob-Controlled Union Delivers the Goods for Bill” (and Hillary and the DNC).

#27. The SEIU was and probably still is a Marxist dominated union Andy Stern was certainly a Marxist/sympathizer. So were the original SEIU predecessor unions (Local 1199, founded by the Communist Party USA - Leon Davis; District 65 - Distributor Workers - led by the CPUSA and smaller affiliates - Color them all red).

The contractors still bid the jobs the same, however, pay the workers half of what their worth. The ones who refuse to comply, leave for something else. They ones who stay are lying about their skills. In the meantime the collect all the benefits from the state. In the end the results are Miami bridges falling down!

It will be a bidding war to get us to come back to the trades.

What it was costing? If that’s what you were paying a contractor, that wasn’t what he was paying entry level workers, which is what was I was objecting to.

Yet elsewhere the author wrote “the construction industry in California once offered a starting wage of about $45 an hour in the late 1980s”

No way in hell that was true.

Those were union rate...not sure how it was allocated. Note also that very few brick homes were built during big-union...once the Illegals broke them, then lots of brick homes.

Where did you grow up? There are very few brick structures in California because of seismic requirements.

Partner, The GOP better straighten out if they do this again. I do not like Flake nor Corker but they have way too much money backing these guys.

One of the major reasons I liked President Trump is that he did not take any big $$$ from K-Street. The D.C. Lobbyists, The D.C. Special Interests, and the D.C. U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

These folks are the real culprits and they are literally ruining this country.

He took his journeyman’s test, past it,
and started at journeyman’s wages.
At that time (as previously stated),
was .07/sq ft.

I would like to add that during the time
he and I were partnered up, there were
no workers of Hispanic descent on the
jobsites. Whites and Blacks were all I
remember seeing in 1969-1970.
My uncle, a taper, worked the same sites
we did, and would tape & texture the
homes we had finished rocking. He ended
up getting out of the business because
he couldn’t compete with the cheaper
labor.
My father also had to get out for the
same reason. That was somewhere around
1975.

I saw that happening first hand...in the late 70's early 80's....in SoCal.

Illegals aren't taking the jobs legal residents don't want...they are..and will continue to take jobs Americans want..!!
