and as a wise man said a year ago, ‘none of this happened by accident’. It was orchestrated from the get-go

Because Jim (Jack) Hoft from the blogsite Gateway Pundit is smarter than a career lawyer, federal prosecutor, US Senator, and Attorney General. What a pantload.

Jeff Sessions just didn’t want to deal with the pressure and the hassle of The Trump-Russia accusations and lies....how it looks to me. Compare Sessions to the insanely loyal Eric Holder.

If I were Trump I would be royally pissed off too.

The meek, fearful, cowardly Sessions willingly allowed the strings of THE DEEP STATE to be firmly attached to him and he became nothing more than their puppet doing their bidding.

If Sessions needed to recuse himself then he cannot do the job of Attorney General. He should therefore resign.

How competent is Sessions anyway?

It’s notable to me that every answer he gives refers to “we”, or, “taking something under advisement”, or, “we” will “consider” this or that.

Who is he speaking for? Silent for a year he must now be emerging from his tutorial class, Attorney Generalling - 101, for the slower student.

Certainly, Rubenstein seems to allow Jeff to be in charge of making announcements, and of course preps him for appearances before the committees on the hill, where he is seen turning to his little army of attorneys to give an answer to any question that is off-script.

Alfred E. Newman was a moron and so is his cousin Alfred E. Sessions.
Sessions did not want to get his hands dirty, so he passed everything
off to the IG.
And because of that Sessions has boxed his DOJ in.
What a moron.

I think Sessions just wanted to be AG - as a career achievement and correctly deduced that Trump would get him there.

It’s all fait compli no matter what. The buck stops at the President to have appointed him in the first place. The fact that ANY Obama leftover/holdover existed AFTER AG Session is inconceivable. It’s like refusing to flush a toilet to save water.

Gregg Jarrett was not helpful in that segment. He did not cite "the right law" (or the right regulation, for the pedantic).

The prevailing belief is that Sessions recused from investigating anything that had to do with Russia, or some such nonsense. But by the simple act of actually reading the public recusal notice, in combination with the regulation cited, one would learn that Sessions recused from investigating the Trump campaign, because he was an adviser to it.

Before that, in his confirmation hearings, he told Grassley that he would recuse from investigating Hillary and the Clinton Foundation, because his public statements suggest he is biased against them.

I'll give Greg Jarrett and Andrew McCarthy some leeway on this because they're approaching it from a different perspective, but believe the main premise they've made here here is incorrect.

When Sessions first refused himself I came to a completely different conclusion: He didn't refuse himself for the reason everybody thinks he did.
