Gonna call BS on this. Information provided by torture can be checked just like information provided by questioning without torture. Interrogators don’t just ask “Are you a terrorist?”. They ask “Where are your weapons caches?”, “What are the quantities of equipment in those caches?” and so on. Is it possible that innocents might get caught up in the net? Sure. But this is war against terrorists who chop off the heads of those of our guys they capture.

No one wants to recall that dark torture chapter in our nation’s history, it is a HUGE EMBARRASSMENT AND SHAME. I taught Geneva and Hague Conventions as a JAG Officer in the Army and all of us were mortified when the so-called lawyers in the Justice Department authorized torture. Torture DOES NOT produce reliable information and puts the lives of US personnel at risk for HORRENDOUS treatment not to mention that torture is NOT LEGAL!

I have already sent an email to the White House stating that this twisted sadist is not an acceptable nominee.

It’s been my understanding that terrorists don’t qualify for Geneva Convention protocols.

I believe the military would be within their rights to execute them in the field; it happened to non-uniformed combatants all the time in previous conflicts.
