Strap KJU to one of his missiles - he'll have about a 10% chance of actually hitting his target.

It has already been stated, but we have been here before. The players are not all the same, as in Rocket Man / Trump. On its face, this makes it different. However, the main nations shifting the levers behind the scenes are the same. China has been and is the main player behind NK geopolitically and economically. If NK softens, it will be at least in part because China gains in the process.

Only a blind fool would refuse to recognize NK as the strategic shield and pawn it is to China mostly, as well as to Moscow. However, strategically and economically, it is possible and plausible, NK does not represent the geographic and geopolitical shield it has to this point.

China has vastly increased and leap-frogged in every area of conventional and strategic military capability. Thanks to Bill Clinton, China now has all of our population centers targeted with nuclear missiles, and has now placed its own version of S-400 and several 4th and 5th gen, very accurate high speed anti-ship missiles, as well as its 5th gen fighter on nearly a dozen of its newly created islands, placing a strangle hold into the southernmost area’s of the South China Sea. NK still has purpose, but it may be diminished.

While I do not anticipate we will be fooled diplomatically, as in the past (or was it American global socialist strategy), we really are speaking of a Chinese/Russian/US match here. This is proven by the immediate shadowing of our 3 carrier groups in the region by Chinese and Russians. This axis is rapidly posturing to challenge and even reconstructing its geopolitical stranglehold throughout the ME. At the end of the day, NK is not the end game here. It is a pawn.

In reality, much (if not all), of NK’s weapons/missile platforms, and likely even their nuclear testing, is not of NK origin. NK has been very useful as a pawn to China, and is likely to be a pawn for some time. China is not growing weaker, and they appear to be taking giant steps in their preparation to dominate the region by force.

Being that China is the real entity we are dealing with here, in the bigger picture, the question China is seeking the answer to is, how far is the US willing to go with China. China wrestled with and secured the $6 Trillion dollar per year economy of Hong Kong, and its people from Britain. The US is not GB, but China is vastly more powerful than it was in the 1990’s, and ready and able to take a number of nations throughout the theatre if the US blinks.

China and Russia are simply not going to give up NK.

Because of the socialist leadership South Korea now has at the moment, (regardless if some analyst are correct or not about the SK leadership being put in place by China), the strategic slight of hand being exercised by a vastly more militarized China, is a threat to the people of South Korea itself, without NK! The people of South Korea really could be in greater danger than at various moments in recent decades.

Reportedly, NK will be bankrupt by October, the food supply is worsening and should NK collapse China does not need or wish for the influx of the NK people fleeing into China. QAnon says to remember the news of months ago of that NK cave-in at the site where 200 nuclear associates were killed and the nuke site was cratered so severely that the impact was felt in China. He claims the USA 🇺🇸 did that, using kinetic weaponry. I can’t fathom that story but can’t entirely discard it, either.

The Nobel “Peace” Prize is a leftist Cracker Jack prize...every leftist pol gets one for uttering anything diplomatic. It lost all credibility when it bypassed Reagan.

“Why wouldn’t the Norks simply try the same ploy again..?”

Of course they would. And the useful idiots in the media and the “professional diplomatic corps” are going out of their way to help set up the “peace talks” window dressing to buy time for the Norks, once again.

I AGREE...make no mistake..BOTH the North and the South are scared s#$tless of this President..the North was told “either way, you will denuclearize”...and the South was told “look..you like your freedom and your 2 trillion dollar economy?, then your gonna have to fight for it and do what it takes”....Trump was an admirer of Nixons “crazy as hell” military posture....man, if he pulls this off..hes one of the all time greats.

Hopefully this meeting will take place in SK or the U.S. I wouldn't trust KJU on his own turf.

I'd be leery of meeting anywhere near the Korean region. Who knows if this guy wants to go out in a blaze of glory and has a nuclear missile launched into SK while Trump is there meeting Kim. Better to meet somewhere far away...like Reykjavik.

With sanctions already in place to choke off 50-80% of the North Korean economy, we can afford to just demand truly exorbitant terms - and then reschedule the next meeting for six months later.

In fact, if the Norks do not agree to our demands at the first meeting, that could support slapping a total fuel embargo, which could cripple their ability to fight a conventional war.

The heat is on North Korea, big time. It is time to go big in our demands. Permanent US inspectors, with access anywhere, anytime. Elections. Free travel and media. Fat boy goes on a US directed diet and exercise program.

A former CIA Officer on Fox tonight said it well - be nice to the nice guys, and get tough with the tough guys.

Kimchi does not want to lose face. A tete a` tete with an equal is a photo-op propaganda victory for Kimchi, no matterwhat the outcome.

Good point!

My guess is that NK has a problem on Nuke Mountain and it has been destabilized.

Given how the communists like playing with assassination via chemical weapons, I’m uncomfortable with the idea of Trump getting physically close to any of them.

The professional diplomatic apparatus is just like any bureaucratic group, how do they make sure there is an on going, continuous need for our group. As with any bureaucratic group it is the mission and not the results that are important. Having countries quickly resolve issues is a direct threat to the bureaucratic group we call diplomats. Look at all the pomp, ceremonies and protocols diplomats insist are absolutely necessary to establishing and maintaining relationships.

“Could they possibly be that stupid?”

Honestly, it’s not that they’re stupid. I actually do not like that word, because I think everyone has something to contribute if they put their mind to it - and whose to say what ‘smart’ is? That said, the real issue is that several ridiculous myths have been propagated for years. One myth is that going to an Ivy league school or other high prestige university means that you are one of the brightest people on Earth. That’s just not a general truth, for a myriad of reasons. Yet, government is inundated with these people. It drags down the ability of government to do its job.

Another myth is that those who make it to higher level elected office are also amongst the ‘brightest and best’. Some are, many aren’t, and it just doesn’t correlate. The primary skills required for being an elected politician these days include being good at raising campaign money, knowing how to speak in generalities, and essentially being good at schmoozing people. Hardly a formula for thinking up great solutions for what ails the world.

Invite him to Mar a Lago for a weekend. Play a couple of rounds of golf with Rocket Man. Invite Shatner as well. Have his spoken word version of rocket man played on the big screen during dinner. Invite Justin as well. Have him dance to the spoken word thing for everyones entertainment.

Un may keel over from a heart attack from laughing so hard.
