Raising the age and creating a waiting period are bad, very bad. Trade those for better background checks.
Democrats weren’t as bad as people feared just decades ago.

Government answer is always worse than the problem because it never solves the original problem and screws everybody else. I really hate government. I equally hate the defects of society (most of whom are liberals).
Waiting periods are the dumbest thing. I mean, they’re not even a big deal to me, but it’s just dumbfounding that Democrats thinks making someone wait 72 hours to buy a gun is saving anyone anywhere’s life.
How does raising the minimum age from 18 to 21 help address school shootings when the last shooter was 17?
This country treats people like babies for way too long.

Much of it is meaningless posturing.

Frankly, I think the age should be raised, along with the voting age!

Deemed unfit by whom? Courts? Police? Neighbors?
Also of note was this wording: “Or otherwise a threat”? As determined by who? ex wives? Jilted lovers? people that hate you? courts? Who will be judging just who is and who isn’t a supposed ‘threat’?
