All this news about Dicks not selling ARs and the gun show not allowing them is music to the ears for all these small Mom and Pop gun shops scattered accros the land. It is always nice to buy from them anyway. I have purchased all my guns from small shops.

That ought to be a great show (he said sarcastically)... lots more room on the tables for clapped-out shotguns and old bolt-action rifles too ugly to pawn.

Everyone should learn to build AR’s - it’s easy and fun. My next project is picking up a 3D printer and manufacturing my own lowers. Lots of videos of printed lowers in action on YouTube. Some of the builders say they’ve run 2000 rounds through them without failure.

The “tyranny of the majority” is a thing, which the Founding Fathers worked to suppress. I don’t care if it’s 99% - individuals have the right to possess tools to preserve their own (& dependents’) lives.
You sir, are completely correct. I live 1.5 miles from those fairgrounds. Have been going to this show for 45 years. But I boycotted attending last weekend because of the "ban". The renewal of the contract for the show with the fair grounds association is next year, and this sportsman's group is "walking on egg shells".
I talked to a number of friends who did attend and set up tables for things to sell at the show. They allowed AR-15 lowers, At-15 uppers, etc. But no complete guns. Its all Kabuki.

A dramatic reduction in disciplinary incidents at Parkside were reported after the selection of Obama’s Chicago friend as school superintendent occurred which was publicly acclaimed.and was receiving large grant from Obama’s Attorney General because of those results. That many critics claimed encouraged criminal activity. Which should require Trump Administration US Attorney General beside find out why when the FBI knew that Cruz should not be able to purchase weapons did. And review these grant programs instituted by the previous Obama administration.

Why did the Illinois gun show ban SINGLE SHOT rifles?
By the way, from now on I am referring to semi-auto firearms, like a typical rifle before OR after a Bumpfire stock is installed, as a single-shot rifle, since one single trigger pull = one single shot. FULL autos would be multi-shot. Beat’em at their word games!
So all the merchants planning to be at the show should pull out.
