No, he means a talking Firebird.
My Dad told me that the current form of the KKK is a merger of two groups, the American Knights with the former Ku Klux Klan now known as the American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. My opinion is that “Knights” would be the correct word here, but perhaps capitalized and in quotes.
The armor on those Knight Riders wouldn’t stop a .223, let alone a .308!
Never bring a lance to a gunfight!
In 2000 we didn’t know what a back stabbing traitor Powell was. We know now.
Kinda like Knights without armor in a restless land?
This is the history of “gun control.”
It’s the government’s attempts to keep those the government deems as “undesirable,” or even “deplorable,” from being able to protect themselves, whether from government supported NGOs, like the Klan, or the government itself.

Joining the KKK was a real step up in the social order then.
Ol’ Billy Bob was no longer a mere dirt farmer, he was now an enrobed Knight of the Invisible Empire with its own allegiances, nobility, and rules. He was somebody!
Yes, I have. Not all night riders were KKK, though, and I stand by my post #16.
I agree that if the writer meant “Knight riders”, referring to Knights of the KKK, it would at least have been capitalized. Again, I have always (up until today) seen the phrase rendered as “night riders”.
Doesn’t really matter, anyway. I just saw what appeared to be an amusing typo. Everyone can believe what they want.
Condi also does not believe the citizens have the right to have the laws enforced, the borders secured and illegal aliens removed.
I can’t seem to find that in the NRA history. Where did that come from ?
Of course Condi is singing a different tune now.
I don't give much creedence to the notion but it seems to have been put forth by blacks who are agaisnt gun controls:
NRA Founded To Fight KKK, Black Leader says

On May 28, 2013, the Republican Party of Milwaukee County posted on its website a video that has been popping up elsewhere on the Internet.
The video features African-American leaders speaking out against proposals to restrict gun rights at a Feb. 22, 2013 news conference in Washington, D.C. Among them: Harry Alford, president and chief executive officer of the D.C.-based National Black Chamber of Commerce.
Alford, who spoke in Milwaukee in 2008, said at one point:
"I want to thank the Lord for our Constitution. I also want to thank the NRA for its legacy. The National Rifle Association was started, founded by religious leaders who wanted to protect freed slaves from the Ku Klux Klan."
Well known as a defender of the right to bear arms, the 5 million-member NRA does describe itself as "America's longest-standing civil rights organization."
hey...thanks !!!
They would have complained that "They weren't black enough". That was the common meme when their appointments were reported.
They didn't say that about obama though, remember "The first BLACK president" mantra?
Yes and thanks for your response.
I did laugh at your comment. The American Knights viewed themselves in exactly that way, as heroes in shining armor restoring honor and chivalry.
