Sessions pushes back on Trump after 'disgraceful' insult
CNN ^

Responding to Trump's tweet, the attorney general said in a statement that the Justice Department "initiated the appropriate process that will ensure complaints against this department will be fully and fairly acted upon if necessary." "As long as I am the attorney general, I will continue to discharge my duties with integrity and honor, and this department will continue to do its work in a fair and impartial manner according to the law and Constitution," Sessions said.

Sessions has allowed a coup to be set up and continue. One has to really strip away the platitudes and simply look at the bottom line facts. He recused himself from and investigation, not from all the criminality unearthed before his very eyes.

His primary oath of office is to protect and defend the Constitution - meaning, that his primary responsibility is to protect and defend a duly elected president from a coup. He is buck-passing his primary responsibility to some nebulous investigation. This is ruining the reputation he has solidly developed for low these many years.

"If Trump’s allows this Bitch Slap, he is hopeless."

Pretty much. It will very publicly show that Trump really isn't in control of the DOJ and that is corrosive to his authority over other parts of the government, as well.

Two quotations come to mind in all of this:
"All the world's a stage. . . ." - Shakespeare; and

“The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.” ― Benjamin Disraeli

“I didn’t know Sessions had a sense of humor.”

Depends. If it bolsters his squeaky-clean “reputation”, yeah, he has a sense of humor.

I’m beginning to think that Sessions was the designated Congresscritter chosen to cozy up to the Trump campaign. Plant him into the campaign looking like the good ole boy southern gentleman and conservative. He gains Trump’s trust and, in the event he should win, begs for the job of AG. He then proceeds to hinder any and all investigations. It worked.
I really despise the little dweeb.

I see it as keeping the media busy with another couple of days with hearsay and scandal while the DOJ does it’s business.

Yep.

"Tim, it looks like you need some cover for a week or so while you take care of (thing that voters will never know about). OK if I send out a tweet or two?"

"Sure, Mr. President. Just something juicy enough to get past the current news cycle. I'll have the house in order by then."

Maybe Trump has already strongly suggested to Sessions in private that he should leave. We don’t know. But if that is the case, and Sessions won’t take the hint, it would explain why Trump has gone public, hoping that Sessions will leave rather than suffer further humilitation.

It could also be that Trump knows other damning things about Sessions that he is unwilling to state publically. Trump is obviously very annoyed and frustrated with Sessions for many reasons, some of which we know and some which we don’t. Whatever, its coming to a head.

But WHY I don’t see the Why what’s in it for Sessions. Doing nothing is not an option here. This country is getting screwed over by law enforcement every day. FBI won’t give the simple truth about anything. Hey Jeff Why . Don’t hide behind the GD constitution old man.

IMHO Increasingly it seems that Sessions is less a bumbler and more of a mole.

He seems to be doing the job he was sent to do:
And that is to impede Trump, just as you said.

At first his recusal from anything to do with Russia looked like just a dumb move by a doddering old gentleman,
Someone too deep in The Swamp to understand the greater ramifications.

But more and more it looks like part of a plan to steal the DOJ from President Trump to protect Obama and Hillary and their gangs of criminals.

That is exactly my view as well. He was a plant from the very beginning, an insurance policy if you will, taken out by the RINOs and/or Deep State. In the off chance that Trump won, their guy was already strategically implanted INSIDE the Trump administration.

Think of Sessions like malware that is embedded into a computer for malicious purposes. Hate to admit it, but it appears to have been a brilliant and effective strategy by Trump’s opponents. I think Trump realizes that now and his anger reflects that betrayal.

*************

Makes sense and is quite probably true. Whoever is controlling Sessions owns him big time.
