I don't think Solomon or David were obscene with their wealth. Gates et al are.

Then, you will have to define obscene.

In my world, if someone creates value for someone else, money changes hands in a fair exchange.

Gates is very wealthy because he ran a business that created very much value. He deserves to be compensated at the level of value he created. People entered into those transactions by choice, considering it fair value for what they received.

My only gripe with Gates is the countless hours I spent as an unpaid MS technician...
