I think justice has many angles to it.

Actually, in principle, I mostly agree with you.

Emphatically NOT a Marxist.
However, on occasion, we have pondered how to make 'a more perfect union.'

God’s standard is ... to whom much is given, much is required.

It does not warm the cockles of my heart to think that the degree of pain of the poor is supposed to be motivation for Christians to give in your construction on reality.
Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

I don't think Solomon or David were obscene with their wealth. Gates et al are. Then, you will have to define obscene.
In my world, if someone creates value for someone else, money changes hands in a fair exchange.
Gates is very wealthy because he ran a business that created very much value. He deserves to be compensated at the level of value he created. People entered into those transactions by choice, considering it fair value for what they received.
My only gripe with Gates is the countless hours I spent as an unpaid MS technician...

I thought Holy Spirit was to motivate and lead giving. I believe it is the Spirit and not the government by force, that guides giving for the believer.

I won’t disagree on either of your posts...
The content along those lines of a graduated tax is anathema to most conservatives (including me) and is sure to fan the flames of Freeper Perdition, as I am sure you well know.
I think you have good intentions, but I wish you luck in staying out of those flames...:)

I have the IRS coming after me for $10,000 from 2014!
Yet Bezos gets billions and zero tax.

#28 It would mean less beer and cigarettes and a cheaper phone. That person will not stay at that level. They will get a better job to pay for beer and cigarettes and a iPhone.
