President Donald Trump is considering pulling U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents out of California for protecting illegal immigrants.
“Frankly it’s a disgrace, the sanctuary city situation,” Trump said at a White House meeting Thursday, according to The Hill.
The president said that California has refused to cooperate with federal law enforcement since it declared itself a “sanctuary” jurisdiction.
Trump added that if the federal agencies left the state, “you would have a crime mess like you’ve never seen in California.”
“If we ever pulled our ICE out, if we ever said, ‘hey, let California alone, let them figure it out for themselves,’ in two months they’d be begging for us to come back, they would be begging,” Trump said. “And you know what, I’m thinking about doing it.”

Trump’s smarter than I am, and he’s right in the mix while I’m just sitting at my computer, but my response would have been, “I’ll triple the number of ICE officers to compensate for your non cooperation.”
Interesting idea but CA is so disfunctional they probably wouldn’t notice difference.
They probably would welcome it.

The better response would be, “If California won’t participate in the immigration system, including enforcement - then the fed govt can no longer safely send foreigners there”. No more student visas, no more high-tech worker visas, no more business visas for potential investors, no more ag worker visas, etc. And finally, no more tourist visas or approved visa-waiver admissions.
Mexican land rush? Maybe. But they’d have to bring a ton of $$$$$$$ to buy California from the Chinese. Money from communist China buys the majority of homes for sale in many cities in CA

Pull al federal funding along with ICE....I bet they’ll notice THAT!!!! LOL.
arrest the public officials starting with the governor, the ag, the present of the senate, speaker of the assembly. SF and LA police chiefs city council members. Cut federal funds related to law enforcement.
Tell the federal judges that illegal immigration is a threat to national security and you don’t recognize their authority over those issues.

After that incident in San Francisco involving several ICE agents being surrounded by a bunch of illegal mexicans at a jail, I would say yes, pull all of the ICE agents out.
Put armed National Guard troops all along the california-mexico border. Station US Marshals along with National Guard troops with INS in every major city in california, in every courthouse, jail, and city hall.
Arrest every single illegal who walks out of those places, and arrest every single LEO, judge, and public official in those buildings right afterwards.
Go from business to business looking for illegals. If found, arrest the illegals AND the owners of the business.
California has been giving the other 49 states the middle finger. The california government is bought and paid for by mexico city.
Either the US takes california back from mexico and kicks out the occupiers, or this will lead to the next mexican-american war.
Pull federal dollars to local law enforcement to really get their attention. Every other federal dollar too.
Yes. The Mecha members in Sacramento, who run California, think it is a great idea to pull all of the ICE officers out of California. The state assembly members, state senate members, the state attorney general are all going in front of the cameras and are endorsing Trump’s idea. California is truly bizarro.

The real and lasting fix: the feds should arrest ALL CA politicians, right down to the city council and mayors, responsible for illegally harboring and protecting criminals
