Many are steady in their beliefs. Some waiver, as did this one. Journalism school is part of the problem. Plus, she went off to a major university at 18.
It wasn’t a weak mind either. Her grades and SAT scores were tops.

I have had the pleasure of "getting to know" many ladies.

I have tiger's blood and Adonis DNA...

Let’s flip the assertion and ask “do college try to make students conservative?” The answer is a resounding absolutely not.

I have a little experience with the teaching profession as I have a few relatives that are teachers, and I am just short of my degree in primary education.

My mother, who taught starting in WW II, was conservative. My sister, younger than I am and graduating high school in the 70’s, is a full fledged, card carrying and sharp tongued liberal who thinks she’s smarter than about 90% of the U.S. I don’t talk to her anymore as she’s so smart, she can’t see another theory. Yeah, right.

One is a product of the 40’s, one a product of the 80’s. Both started out in homes of conservative values. The only difference is the time of education and the choice of religion. (Progressive thinking strikes again)

I walked away from teaching because I wouldn’t allow myself to profess liberal ideas in the classroom or in the atmosphere of education without cause. The purpose of primary education is to give the tools needed for students to learn. Teaching them values or public theories is a slippery slope that can lead to failure of honest openness for students and that has been demonstrated continually. And it can also openly display the failures in the teaching profession which it also has displayed based upon instruction. So college is just the final step into indoctrination. That has been the purpose since the 50’s.
