Deputies guarding schools in Broward County will carry rifles, including AR-15s, under an order issued Wednesday by Broward Sheriff Scott Israel.
Israel said the order applies only to deputies qualified on rifles and has the support of Broward schools Superintendent Robert Runcie after the Parkland school shooting.

Very interesting, the article says the Resource Officer was armed and did not shoot. I read elsewhere he was unarmed and died by shielding a group of kids with his body.
Yeah that skinhead looking freak’s 15 minutes of fame ended..so did that Hogg fool, who I would NOT be surprised knew in advance of the shooting..his videotaping during the shooting was just too darn convenient

I heard the Resource Officer died on his way to get his gun, as he shielded the kids. He was not allowed to carry it with him, supposedly.
