In many if not most schools etc they have fire alarms with fire extinguishers along with an ax in a glass case.

Maybe adding a 12 gage shot gun with amo along side would help solve the problem with those who manage to get through the cracks.

Authorize a few teachers and/or students with experience to be first responders. It would give students a fighting chance in their own defense, which I think is their main complaint.

I've always thought that drinking to get drunk or even a bit tipsy is stupid.

I've never been an alcoholic, nor has anyone in my family been one either.

I may have a small glass of wine with a meal, perhaps 6 times or less a year, but drinking just never interested me.

OTOH, I have always believed that those who do illegal substances were nuts/stupid! Ergo, I've NEVER done any and never shall.
