Florida Republicans Face Mounting Pressure to Act on Gun Control

We don’t put enough people in jail, so we have to lock our doors and live in gated communities. It was not always like this. However as it is, the bad guys are out of the institutions, being raised in fatherless families, and here in lovely California we cannot get a CC license come hell or high water.

Given these circumstances, which you may change over time but it doesn’t look like good odds, the only way we can have safe schools is to take the steps I have already mentioned.

No, I don’t like it either. But we cannot get authorities to commit these kids, even when endorsed by their parents, and that is the only thing that will keep them from getting their hands on weapons and killing someone when they go nuts, so we have to do things that penalize ourselves.

In this case we need to compromise and put in place the least offensive changes and keep for ourselves the greatest possible amount of freedom. And I agree with you, if you think this is unfair, you are correct.
