Fresh off Vatican Radio, which takes this sort of news from the United Nations seriously, the Mexicans have been told to clean up their act on all the rampant racism against their indigenous peoples, something that has been going on as long as there's been a Mexico.

like that "Patti" on tv who does the Mexican cooking show...her parents are Jews, she's light colored....

You are correct. The elite of Mexico (business, politics, entertainment, etc) are almost all Castilian or Peninsular. Compare their facial features to those of the illegals you see up here in the US. The latter are all mestizo or straight indigenous.
Has anyone noticed how few blacks are in Mexico? There’s a reason. On a historical note; escaped slaves did not head to Mexico, they knew better.

for all that Mexico and Mexicans claim that there is but one ethnic homogeneous group - Mexicans... About 20% of the population is strictly of European decent and the rest some mixture of both or indigenous.
Mexico also has a very sizable Jewish and ex-pat Lebanese population.
Spaniards & Argentines are everywhere as well.
Lived in Chihuahua for 10 years growing up. My next door neighbor’s last name was Beckmann and they didn’t speak a word of German.
