Former Trump campaign aide Rick Gates has agreed to plead guilty to fraud-related charges and will testify against former colleague and Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Gates was going to plead not guilty after being indicted in October alongside Manafort but now reportedly has reached a deal to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller, the Times reported.
Gates served as the deputy campaign manager for the Trump campaign.
Both were indicted for hiding millions in Ukraine-based payments from U.S. authorities.
The plea deal is the latest development surrounding the Mueller’s probe into Russian interference with the 2016 election and if the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.
Mueller also indicted 13 Russian nationals and three groups with charges related to the probe.

Paul Manafort was the campaign manager during the primary season...Kelly Anne Conway was the campaign manager during the Fall election, post primary season.
And the charges against Manafort in regards to Ukraine have nothing to do at all with the 2016 election....it was at least several years earlier.
I think Manafort and Gates are bad actors. That said, nothing to do with President Trump. I regret that Trump brought him on board the campaign in the first place (he only lasted about four months) but what they are accused of happened during the Obama years, before Trump was even a candidate.

Mueller’s mission is to slander POTUS and get the Dems in the majority re: Midterms

I don't blame Trump for hiring him, I just wish he hadn't.
To Trump's credit, he fired Manafort immediately once it came out about Manafort's apparently illicit foreign dealings. That was mid-August 2016 when Kellyanne Conway was brought on to run the campaign.

pleading to events that occurred BEFORE he joined the Trump campaign, and totally unrelated to “Russian collusion”, so only the ignorant and the dems (same thing) will think that this is some big deal.
