Just like they don’t want to solve the DACA problem, why didn’t the Democrats pass gun control legislation when they had both the House & Senate during the Obama Administration. Because they didn’t want to, and now they just talk!

They need their noses rubbed in that question and I’m glad the President raised it.
Dems are hypocrites and political cowards.
Joe “Shotgun” Biden introduced the legislation to make school zones gun-free.
the dems had both houses prior to the 2012 election and had the obozo and the dems enacted an unpopular gun law, that would have sunk any chance of reelection for the obozo in 2012. Obozo had must larger conquests on the world stage and needed to remain in the WH to get them done, or at least started.
He’s trying to demoralize the Democrat base while also making a larger point at the same time.
In this latest case, and in another recent case - it was not a matter of passing new legislation but issues of bureaucratic snafus - the government failed.
They don’t want gun control, they want a gun control fight.
No money to be made in gun control. Plenty of money to be made dealing with the mexican slave trade, and taking over the healthcare industry.
Both parties are equally culpable.
The lines between left/right/progressive/conservative/political persuasion disappear when there’s money to be made by exploiting the masses.
They did not go after amnesty or gun control because betrayals on that scale would provoke a revolt.

Why when they had us all by the neck with the house senate and the presidency solve all the so called problems of the this horrible country and usher in their utopian dream WHY? because if they are all irresponsible misbehaving bratty children who need to be able to point a finger if it all goes south and they would be finished for good

The reason is simple..they saw what happened after Bill Clinton signed that “Assault weapons” bans during his presidency..signing that bill gave the GOP control of the house..Democrats don’t want to sign anything that might take away their power so they scream and b*tch for the other side to do it

I’ve also pointed out to a FaceBook “friend” that Obama had both houses for 2 years and could have passed gun control legislation at that point with no problem. Was met with complete silence ... in fact, I think she might have unfriended me. Boo Hoo!
Lots of Republicans are lining up with the ‘Rats on gun control. Conservatives, Constitutionalists, small “r” republicans need to form a new party.
The GOP is dead.
