Arming school staff is a step in the right direction but I question if there will be enough staff volunteers given the pacifist political views the majority of them hold. A better solution is a professionally trained, armed and with effective communications to serve as a visible deterrent force.

University education programs have been gatekeeping against conservative students and graduating a flood of radical commie, man-hating, homo-activist and generally socially subversive maniacs for at least about 40 years. People who want to arm them should have their heads examined. One of their main discussions would be murdering conservative parents and kids.

If you want the kids protected by guards, hire conservative prior servicemen with combat specialty training and train them some more to be security guards.

Years ago I belonged to a Cowboy Action Shooting club. There were quite a few female members. Many of them were teachers. I would hate to have any of those ladies shooting at me.

There are plenty of schools out there doing it right. At this point, I see it as incompetence and possibly neglegence not to be at least in the process of implementing plans for entry security, uniformed armed security and/or select trained ARMED faculty & staff.

If I had school age children, I’d demand something like the FASTER PROGRAM at their schools.

The are plenty of answers are available, and they don’t involve gun bans or denying our Constitutional rights.

"Aren’t the majority of teachers union/communist? Not sure it’s a good idea to train them with weapons."

That's right. I've been to school with them and worked with them. There are a few who are sane but not on average. A program to arm them will result in having the likes of Janet Reno armed.

By the way, some of the most radically left/liberal teachers tend to tell parents that they are conservative.

Well written, Mr. Thomson, as always.

I would say, though, that these would be good interim measures, until we can once again restore the moral fabric of our nation to it's former state. Things were not always as they are today.

And as John Adams pointed out so very long ago, nothing else will truly fix what has gone wrong here.

This makes the most sense. Israel does it, and it has been effective.

When describing a problem first of all you must describe it. What is causing these frequents acts of shooting and killing on school grounds?

1. There is common knowledge there is no one in the school to stop them. They know it will be like shooting ducks in a gallery and they will not be confronted if they get away before police arrive.

2. It is a proven fact that in all school mass killings, or attempted, the killers were on psychiatric drugs.

Solutions:
1. Arm teachers and administrators and have rapid response plans known and practiced - frequent drills.
2. Develop a national plan to identify the mental cases which without medication would commit such crimes. Then place them in mental institutions. (which we know have been non-existent since the 60’s) Get these pychos off the street.

I don’t agree with arming teachers. Hell, more than half of them are probably Bernie-bots or ANTIFA. I think schools need real military type guards, not a bunch of NEA candy-asses with guns.

Arming the teachers is the one and only one thing that can stop school shootings. And while we are at it, let’s take down the ‘Gun Free School Zone’ signs and destroy them.

Oh great! Now the teachers will engage in a gunfight over who gets to boink the students.
