Since the Left in their infinite wisdom have decided our Constitution applies to foreigners (illegals) aren’t these Russians protected under the 1st Amendment?
According to LeftLogic, shouldn’t they be allowed to VOTE in our elections?

If this is what amounts to interference and “collusion”, its a big nothing burger. People are, citizens and non citizens are free to say what they like. No doubt they, like Steyer, Soros and the Obama bundlers, violated Federal election laws of dubious constitutionality, but in the final analysis they did nothing different than what Obama did in the Israeli election and what the CIA has done in many foreign elections. To say Russia interferes in American elections is akin to saying it rains in April. Unless there were forged ballots or machine tampering, bribes to election officials, the registering of illegal aliens, agents walking into polling stations and stuffing ballots, intimidation of voters, that is unless they were Democratic operatives, there was no big deal.

According to the indictment, this started in 2014 long before Trump declared as a candidate. And why would they support Trump, a candidate that no one gave a chance to win right up until election day?

Hillary spent over one billion dollars on her campaign. The Russians spent “millions” trying to influence our election. To what end?

The indictment reads like a political document. The very people who wrote it were Hillary supporters and donors. A very curious indictment indeed. Weissmann has his fingerprints all over it.

This wasn’t related to donations or money. It was related to them making social media postings against Hillary , so you’re the one that’s incorrect. And this will be weaponized into an attack upon Americans who post things on social media about Democrats, just watch.

The defendants allegedly conducted “information warfare” against the United States election process.

Hasn’t congress already been doing this every two years?

Foreign entities try to meddle in all of our elections. We meddle in theirs.

This sounds like crap.

Are we supposed to call it a day now?

Yes, the USA used to interfere to support democracy. You are right to ask why can’t Putin interfere to get the best deal he can for his autocracy.

Yeah, wire fraud is a common NYT crime. And they’re actually not US Nationals at NYT.

They are accused of spreading derogatory information about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, denigrating Republican candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio -- and supporting Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders and then-Republican candidate Donald Trump.

It says the defendants spread derogatory information about various candidates throughout the 2016 campaign and by “early to mid-2016” were supporting Trump’s presidential campaign.

The indictment said the defendants purchased political advertisements on social media in the names of U.S. persons and entities. It also accuses them of staging political rallies inside the United States while posing as U.S. grassroots groups.

I am not sure how this links to Trump. But I don't see where anything they did was illegal in this statement above. If they are American citizens, they are free to make political statements. Identity theft? Are these Trumped up charges to get someone to purger a story that incriminates Trump? I don't trust the intent here. Not by a long shot.

-- Gee where was the FBI and Rosenstein in 2008? --

And to your point, the illegal contribution scheme was known to the FEC and FBI.

This action by Mueller and Rosenstein is an example of "baffle them with BS." The indictment reads like a screed from Schiff. It's pejoritive, biased nonsense couched in legal mumbo jumbo.

It does please me that the institutions are so willing to draw disrespect to themselves.

“What a complete dud this is.”

In legal terms it might be just that, but in practical terms, this fuels the entire Russia conspiracy as the left can point to 13 indictments of Russians that actually “interfered” with the election.

Let me get this straight. It is ok for illegals to vote, but it isn’t ok for Russians to tell people how to vote. As Pogo said, “We have met the enemy and he are us.”
