What would it have cost her to be a bit warm, kind, and gracious? Nothing.

And, it would have taken all the wind out of the GoP's negotiations. Really bad optics on this, and poor strategy.

Pelousi didn't need to give President Trump a warm hug, but civility and professionalism would have helped their cause. Instead, they chose to play high-school games and appeal to the people who will vote Dem, anyway.

Unless they're worried about their base. Which is good, too....

President Trump gives so many wins, on so many different levels. It's a pleasure to have someone in our corner, for a change.
