He’s also showing them what it’s like to actually work and accomplish something.
He makes strength look easy.
It takes a big ego, lots of personal security. It doesnt take narcissism. It takes actually loving and believing in YOURSELF and YOUR IDEAS. (It probably takes believing in a benevolent Creator who wants us to do Good as well.)
The people who hate him dont understand.
There are only two cojones in the Republican Party.
Trump owns both.
Do not worry, dimbulbcrats. Our spineless no-T Rino-Ublicans will continue their tradition of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
And I truly hope that my above statements are proved to be stunningly incorrect.
Teaching Republicans to fight will be his toughest challenge as president. Reagan wrote a good playbook for Republicans too, but they promptly threw it away.
We finally have a Republican who isn’t cowering under cries of “racist” “homophobe” or “Xenophobe”, that’s huge. He’s not allowing the media and libs to dictate to the public who he is..
Paul Ryan looked like he was ready to fight; McConnell looked like he's ready to cave.
And after watching last night I don't think Trump will sign any immigration bill that doesn't include the wall.
More accurate I think, to say he’s building a new party with the same name that knows how to fight, win, etc. Some “Republicans” like Flake, McCain, Graham, Romney, and more will never be a part of it. Their kind of Republican party is dead.
That's what we saw last night, and what is reflected this morning by various commenters, pundits and associated media figures. These people aren't stupid - the smart ones (ie "unprincipled") - always test the waters first. And now we see the movement to embrace the power figure.
They [Dems] rarely stood and applauded, except when it would have been embarrassing not to.

Wrongo. I watched the SOTU & my observation was they didn’t even stand/applaud when it was un-American not to, much less merely ‘embarrassing’. Their hate of Trump transcends everything, including what is good for the people of America. The Dems made that very clear last night and Trump supporters weren’t the only ones who noticed.
This is a correct analysis. Republicans especially the elitist and hereditary GOP have in the past been largely content to taking a beating from the left and never open fire with anything but pop guns. Just this morning I read another lame piece from Jonah Goldberg who is moderately never Trump which tried to straddle the line while missing the entire point of the push back against the FBI. Instead he tried to minimize it. The importance of pushback when your enemies are making unfounded allegations is to give the independent observer not just the committed member of your base a reason to doubt the words of your enemy or at a minimum confuse them enough to make sure they see it as a pox on both houses.
Democrats always lead with mad assertions to demonize and silence their opponents. There opponents aren’t just wrong but instead they are bigots, racists, nazis all the while the left are indeed marxists praising communist dictators. The GOP have never been good at wielding their rhetorical heavy weapons and the left though a great big turd of a target have gotten used to a GOP that always gives in. This is one of the reasons they scream so loudly at President Trump. They are used to being able to just make shit up attacking and never expect a real painful return attack. President Trump is teaching the GOP to go for the kill and that is one of the most valuable things he’s done for conservatives and Republicans.
If the squishy Republicans were paying attention, he was showing them a steel (not Steele) spine, and suggested some ‘political Viagra’.
I’ve long thought that the Republicans play the game for the sake of playing the game and that the Democrats play to win.

Even Ryan looked delighted - poor, feckless McConnell started out looking like a shrinking violet (apropos for him) but did liven up a little as it went on....probably the first time in his life he was part of a winning team - make him the towel boy instead of a “leader” and he will fit just fine...
It’s not just that Trump fights back. We all complained that George W. Bush did not fight back, but the real problem was that Bush was actually one with his attackers.
It took a year but Trump finally managed to tape a popsicle stick to Ryan and McConnell’s backs and turn them to into spines.
