"But she said Republicans also fear that the cards could be a slippery slope and create problems at the polls, despite the fact that the mock-up card prepared by the Department of Motor Vehicles says not valid for federal, voting or public-benefit purposes."
Oh yeah! It's all about vote fraud!

Imagine how deceived American taxpaying citizens feel at having our political class consistently break the laws of the nation by even entertaining the idea of giving illegal invaders rights, at our expense.

Nestor Rendon, a 33-year-old construction worker from Chesapeake, was carrying his sleepy 5-year-old daughter, Briana, on his shoulder as he came to grips with the fact that the push to find a pathway for immigrants, regardless of their legal status, to drive legally in Virginia if they had filed a state income tax return appeared to have fallen short again.
regardless of legal status ? If you are legal, you don't need this law.
Well, at least ICE now knows his name and that he has probably filed a state income tax return.

Say no to these demands made by illegal aliens. No drivers licenses, no motor voter registration, no welfare, no entitlements and Real ID checks on all job hiring in every state. Also, make the federal deportation hearing procedures simple to get quick removal orders.

No state issued drivers license should be given to illegal aliens as it allows them to (illegally) register for voting, like they do here in CA.
There is no problem with foreigners driving in our roads, as they all can get international drivers licenses.
Just like we have to get, when we visit their countries.

“I feel a little tired, a little deceived,” said Rendon, who has been in Virginia for 13 years after leaving Mexico. “It’s the principal obstacle to working.” Well, apparently being an illegal alien isn't an obstacle. How about we just deport this admitted criminal alien?

“The reason the (9/11)terrorists got licenses and ID cards in the first place was so that they could avoid using their passports, which they feared would attract unwanted attention. The 9/11 Commission found that the 19 hijackers had been issued 16 state drivers licenses (from Arizona, California, Florida and Virginia) and 14 state ID cards (from Florida, Maryland and Virginia). They also had at least 364 aliases among them, according to the Commission, so it is possible that had additional licenses and/or ID cards that we will never know about.” https://www.numbersusa.com/PDFs/9-11%20Terrorists%20and%20REAL%20ID%20Act%2003-13-05.pdf

Nestor Rendon, a 33-year-old construction worker from Chesapeake...
Okay, did this guy lie about his status to his company, file fake identity papers, or did his company just not use e-verify before hiring him?
Inquiring minds want to know ...
