"Americans Will Be Surprised How Bad It Is": GOP Rep. Admits "Deeply Disturbing" FISA Memo Shook Him To The Core (VIDEO)

According to the Washington Examiner's Byron York, Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) huddled together Saturday to discuss a "never-before-used procedure" for releasing the "shocking" FISA abuse memo. Rep. Dave Joyce, a Republican from Ohio, told Fox News on Monday that the intelligence committee plans to work on releasing the document but warned that once Americans see it, they'll "be surprised how bad it is."

The process of releasing the memo could take up to 19 congressional working days which puts its release around mid-March. The document's release would first need approval from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., who can decide to bring the committee back together for a vote. If the majority of the committee votes to release the memo, it would then be up to President Trump.

If he says yes, the memo can be released.

Joyce said he's personally read the memo twice and "it was deeply disturbing as anyone who’s been in law enforcement and any American will find out once they have the opportunity to review it."

What was Joyce so shaken by? During an appearance on CNN's morning show "New Day" last Friday, Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT) told host Chris Cuomo that the "essence" of the "shocking," FISA abuse memo centers around whether or not the FBI and Justice Department provided false information to the FISA court for the purpose of obtaining spy warrants." “It's primarily dealing with the Department of Justice and FBI and imagining this, did they propose or provide information to the FISA courts, and was that information accurate? That's the essence of this," Rep. Stewart revealed to Cuomo.

I'm afraid we're being set up here.

Really? Why do I doubt I will be surprised at all?

38 weekdays until mid-March; #FakeCongress works 19? What a crock.

Then again, if they only work 50% of the time, they can’t cause trouble.

You aren’t “all Americans.” Sometimes I swear FR talks down to everybody else.

Half of Americans will only be as shocked and surprised as the MSM tells them they should be, and a good portion of the other half of Americans won’t even know that anything WAS released because they just don’t care.

So he is saying that the bad guys are so dangerous to the United States and the President that they are waiting 2 WEEKS to do anything about it?

Kabuki Theater.

My guess is yes, this is so contrary to the official picture that it’s going to look like it came from Mars.

And so yes, “Let us break it to you gently” is classy of the GOP.

The purpose isn’t to whip FR up into a fervor though doubtless it will. Like FR ever did represent the majority of America, which is what has to drive its politics or we don’t have a “We The People” country anymore.

too bad this wasn’t released before the renewal of FISA, when it might have done some good.

Interesting how Dems can release anything they want with no penal repercussions (Feinstein had a cold...), but Repubs are threatened with everything under the sun (and get mud slung at them) for even talking about releasing data....

Good point... also a seismic shift in FBI, etc. agency personnel can take place without the need to revise what the official agenda is.

Yes, I think a witch hunt has been caught in mid dunking stool action. We’ll really see soon, but I expect a lot of quits in disgrace.

If so, we should thank the Lord that the witch hunt did not take Donald down.

There could be other Trumpian strategy here too, to see if any of the news organs will be truly curious enough to leak it. Trump will surely rib them about not having done so when they leaked everything else.

I am sure he could tweet it out at once if he wanted.

“Congressional Working Days”. That’s like 2 actual working days per month.
