It is so sad that this is occurring in the United States of America. . . . the State of California’s leadership has been given over to a reprobate mindset.

This is an insurrection and it has to be put down immediately.

What Becerra is proposing is literally seditious. Just my opinion.

At the very least, obstruction of justice, textbook case.

My opinion is this is the beginning of the S Hitting T F.

This threat by California's AG, will force a constitutional conflict and the Supreme Court will eventually take sides to decide the issue.

This puts the employers in the middle between the feds and the state. Not fair to them.

In the meantime, the ICE needs to do their illegal roundups without the employer's or state's cooperation.

And the DOJ needs to go after those prosecuting the employers trying to follow the federal law. And I mean the AG.

Put some adults in charge. 'Cause now all I see is childish behavior from the California AG.

I am replying to your sedition comment not the right or wrong of the issue. If the federal govt passed and enforced a law requiring local police to confiscate semi auto rifles, would you call a state law that criminalizes local police cooperation with the feds as seditious.

“California Attorney General Xavier Becerra”

I have to ask, is the AG of mexifornia a citizen of the United States?

It’s time to reconquer California.

To hell with SCROTUS. They’re not the final arbiters of what is Constitutional or not. If you haven’t noticed, the courts are corrupt and in open rebellion, too.

My brother in law has a construction business..one of his employees was in a car accident yesterday in the San Fernando Valley(His truck was totaled but he is OK) the guy who hit him, no papers, no insurance..didn’t speak a word of English, the cops came and they just LET HIM GO..now I know why

30 + years ago, I was broadsided by an illegal in San Diego. The cops let him go. I had to pay for the damages to my vehicle.

A week after that happened my sister's car was stolen from in front of her house in a upscale neighborhood of San Diego. The cops wouldn't even come to her house to investigate. They said "the car is probably in Mexico by now being stripped for parts. There's nothing we can do.

I made plans right there and then to get the hell out of Kalifornia.

In neither of the instances you mentioned was there a way for the police or state to profit by taking actions. Once you can figure out a way to make prosecuting illegals a profitable enterprise for the government, you’ll see it take right off.

So in other words, these companies are damned if the do and damned if they don’t. Doesn’t sound like a good environment to attract business and will likely push businesses out of California. Plus, it will have the added effect of making employers think twice before hiring any new illegals, which hurts the very people California hopes to protect.

Go visit X Amendment page and see how a conservative page defends personal liberty laws that are aimed at limiting federal power. Goose Gander.

Yes, but unlike marijuana and other laws, immigration is a Federal function as clearly defined by the Constitution. The Tenth Amendment does not apply and the Supremacy Clause does.
