You are correct about the routing numbers. I know it. I just feel better knowing that stealing mail is a federal offense, and I can always fight unauthorized transfers after the fact which I’m sure is not fun. I just avoid participating in the information being passed around digitally (even though it still will to some degree) and entering everyone’s grandmother’s databases (even though the sensitive stuff is SUPPOSED to be passing through secure encrypted gateways without any logging/storing), I just feel like I need to do my part not to enable
Trusting the U.S. Postal Service.
Who did they outsource their QA to?
Did they ever fire their CEO or is he working for the NFL?
I’ve never had an issue with US Postal Service actually
Bingo...same here. WF has a wide ATM network, so we keep a little cash there for easy access when traveling. It’s a no-fee account, with a low minimum balance, that was grandfathered from First Union Natl Bank way, way back. Our main accts are credit union. Can’t remember the last time we paid an ATM fee.
I would never do any other business with WF.
The Wachovia acquisition disease is killing Wells Fargo
Better check on Michael Bolton and Samir.
You still banking with these slime-molds?
I was just gonna post that!
Trust no one.....
You’re from Pittsburg, aren’t yinz?
Good ole First Onion.
I miss SCNB where I first started with my own personal bank accounts.
Wells Fargo is so sketchy, they’re always doing something like this. I had a friend who was calling them up every month complaining, “If checking is free, why am I getting these fees every month with my statement?” And it was always different fees. He’s more patient that I am, I would’ve dumped them a lot faster. When you play with my money, you play with my emotions.
"Jimmy cracked corn, and I don't care!"
“99% of the rest of what banking I do is with credit unions.”
I’ve had some c/u problems.
The one here stopped sending us U.S. mail notices of overdraft charges. When they stopped that they left a void where there can be a $25 charge and then the account makes another payment a week later and charges me again. No notice. Is this legal for them to do ?
I only find out when my end of month statement comes.
In the old days, you had to allow two days for the payment to be made after the date you authorized. Want a payment Monday the 10th? set up the payment before some arbitrary time on the 6th. Non-electronic (like a Discover credit card bill) - allow at least 5 business days before the payment was due.
The new system works better for me. But I don’t live paycheck to paycheck.
All I can say is my credit is totally fecked. No idea how to get out of it. No more bill pay. No more automatic payments. I guess personal paper checks from me, paying by phone. Its hell to be dumb, trustful of others. I have my wife, my health, and my President.
