There are times after I’ve been wearing reading or sunglasses for a time, take them off and still have the sensation they are on - have reached for them a time or too because my nerves are feeling the grooves in the skin flattening out.
I recently had cataract surgery, correcting near sightedness. It took me months to quit reaching for my “phantom” glasses afterward.
Heck, I’ve put on a second pair of reading glasses over the first pair. Absent-mindedness is not senility. . . . is it?
