What I Learned in the Peace Corps in Africa: Trump Is Right
The American Thinker ^ | 01/17/18 | Karin McQuillan

Three weeks after college, I flew to Senegal, West Africa, to run a community center in a rural town. Life was placid, with no danger, except to your health. That danger was considerable, because it was, in the words of the Peace Corps doctor, "a fecalized environment."

In plain English: s--- is everywhere. People defecate on the open ground, and the feces is blown with the dust – onto you, your clothes, your food, the water. He warned us the first day of training: do not even touch water. Human feces carries parasites that bore through your skin and cause organ failure.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that a few decades later, liberals would be pushing the lie that Western civilization is no better than a third-world country. Or would teach two generations of our kids that loving your own culture and wanting to preserve it are racism.

***SNIP***

I couldn't wait to get home. So why would I want to bring Africa here? Non-Westerners do not magically become American by arriving on our shores with a visa.

For the rest of my life, I enjoyed the greatest gift of the Peace Corps: I love and treasure America more than ever. I take seriously my responsibility to defend our culture and our country and pass on the American heritage to the next generation.

Don’t bother. The Peace Core should be abolished along with Ameri-corps. They only turn our young volunteers into life long Democrats-it’s intention.

I have been to a number of African countries and outside of when I was in Mombassa Kenya I can unequivacally agree with President Trump. The third world by our standards is a $h$%@hole.

Ask yourself this, how many of the liberal effete are vacationing in Monte Carlo or the Riveria? Now how many of them are vacationing in Mogadishu Somalia? I can tell you from first hand experience, the Somali tourism industry is suffering greatly....

Pretty unbelievable. My preacher's wife is from Brazil, she's a new citizen and she is always telling people that Americans can't possibly understand what real poverty is without seeing it for themselves. In her opinion our ghettoes are luxury most of the world's population will never experience, no matter how many trillions of dollars the rest of the world (US mostly) dumps on them.

I remember seeing a documentary about the Ghanges River...same story. People actually bathing downstream, withing eyesight, of a sewage pipe emptying directly into the river.

Americans think it is a universal human instinct to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It's not. It seems natural to us because we live in a Bible-based Judeo-Christian culture.

We think the Protestant work ethic is universal. It's not. My town was full of young men doing nothing. They were waiting for a government job. There was no private enterprise. Private business was not illegal, just impossible, given the nightmare of a third-world bureaucratic kleptocracy.

Welcome to American Progressivism, bringing ancient third world values to America today!

The back streets of Cairo in Egypt are the toilet of the city. The walls are brown from 6 inch high to 3 foot up where the people wipe off their hands after defecation as Muslims don’t believe in toilet paper.

Just travel anywhere outside of the USA and you will see the difference in the standard of living...even Europe.

Go to the Caribbean and venture away from the resorts....you'll see real quick.

I once watched a young boy of about 6 take a dump in an open air market in Korea. Nobody in the crowd said or did anything. It was apparently a normal occurrence.
